It's been a while since death
has crossed my mind this way.
It's been a while since I've gone for a swim.
I've been dreaming about swimming.
Letting the water take over.
Holding your breath
Ignoring everything.
Hearing nothing
But the waters lingering in your ears.
Everything's a blur, even with my eyes open.
My lungs need air
But it's so beautiful here.
Blue and lonely.
Everything moves slower here
Nobody can really see your tears
It blends in anyway.
Nobody can really understand what you're saying
So might as well keep your mouth shut
The way you did before.
Scream as loud as you can
And they'll only turn into countless dancing bubbles
It's safe here until it takes your breath away.
Until your lungs are suddenly filled
with your own tears.
There's no one else to blame for this.
Who will be there to save you?
Who's willing to want to have you alive
With them so bad, to the point where
They'd risk the chance of breaking your ribs
Breaking you a little more, just to bring you back.
Breathing
Alive
Seeing
With everything at it's regular pace.
Who's going to be there to remind you of the beautiful side to life
Life outside of the waters.
