Quacey's POV. . .

It all started off with the singing of the birds and the sunlight which reflected in the windows of my room. I'm a female becoming twenty in the next three months, who doesn't really love the sight of light when I'm awaken.

I pulled the covers off and stretched with a yawn. My hair was a mess, as always. I can't deny that I pretty much live in a wealthy life where I am controlled by my two parent at times. It sucks.

Many say I'm weak and that I let them have power over me, and that I don't know when to say no to them but I think its just the reality of what my life turned out to be.

After plumping myself backwards on the bed there was a soft knock on my door. I sighed in frustration and pull the covers to my shoulders, clicking a buttoqn on the desk, next to my bed letting the curtains automatically close up.

The person opened the door and peeked in. My mom, She came in closing it softly. She looked at my figure in disbelief that I was asleep.

My petite mother was dressed in a black spaghetti strap dress at knee length. Her hair was always loose at shoulder length, dark brown with a little blond highlight like mine only that hers is darker and mine brighter.

Mischelle Lorinda Bailey Gayle a rich business woman and top CEO of Gayle's real estate.

Why did I just introduce it like that?

"I know your awake Quacey." She said with a warm smile. I opened my eyes and stared at her. I met her steady gaze.

"Just because my eyes are closed doesn't entirely means I'm sleeping, mother." I replied.

"The Robinson's are coming over for dinner tonight and I expect you to be there." She pulled a hand through her hair.

"Why?" I asked curiously. "I dont recall us having such good friendship with the Robinsons?"

"Honey, we're all business partners and during this period of time we've became close, their almost like family."

I fake choked. "Oh, Stop it!" She said laughing along with me. " Just be nice and pleasant."

"Fine." I agreed.

"Just be at dinner tonight. Living in your room forever is not good manners when you have visitors. " She gave me a kiss to the cheek and turned on her heel to exit.

The Robinson's?
Full of themselves. It's annoying. Their son? He's sweet, kind and genuine. He's nothing like his parents.

I wouldn't say we're friends but I'm just not interested when he tries to build a conversation with me. Its not that I want to be an ass but their presence seems to irritate me if you know what I mean.

My mother consider them friends, I consider them nothing.

I went to the bathroom to take a shower and  relax.

It's seven thirty and I've been in my room for hours. It feels like I'm going to suffocate, I can't stay here any longer. I pull the curtains and noticed the Robinson's just pulled up in our driveway and their son with his own car pulling up behind them.

"Shoot!"I muttered beneath my breath.

They exit the vehicle as the driver opened the door for them. Their son came out as well suited like his dad. He looked up and spotted me so I quickly moved away from the curtains and went on my bed. I was in a cream sweater, blue jeans, with a white Reebok sneakers and a greyish tam.
My mom is mistaken if I'm gonna wear a dress.
