I'm a nerd

A/N : this is actually my second book to write. I would try to do my best to make this book the best.

Gem&Harold - the first two names that popped from me and my friend's mind. So I made a story about the two of 'em. I actually made the plot while browsing some books at the bookstore.

You know me right? I'm Gemima but my nickname is Gem, so just call me Gem. This story is quite about me and my misadventures. Haha. Nope that's not it. Hmm. Let's just start with my story.

I'm a nerd. Even though I may not like that description they gave me because it's quite harsh, I actually got used to it. But sometimes I wish that I'm not myself and not a nerd. Wanna know why? Because the day I became a nerd my childhood friend/first love never talked to me again. He ignored me. Why? Maybe because I'm not qualified to be his friend. Simply because I'm a nerd and not as popular as he is right now.

I've loved Harold since were like eight. I don't know but it just happened and it was just too late when I realised that I love him. If only I could make him fall for me. If only I could get him to just bring back our old relationship. I miss him so so so so much. How could I not miss him? He just ignored me and treated me like air since like first year. I lasted a year without even talking to him or even just going near him.

Because of so much thinking I didn't even realised that it was almost time for the first period and I'm at the hallway just staring at my locker. For almost like half an hour now. Lucky me Harold's locker was near mine so I can see him almost like everyday.

"Gem! Let's hurry it's time for class." seeing Stacey panicking is so entertaining but it's no joke if we didn't hurry were gonna be late for the first period so we hurried to our first class and do what other students normally do. 'STUDY'

First day of being a sophomore. How is it? Nothing much. It's just me and Stacey nothing new.

"Gem, let's go to the bookstore on our way home. Please?" she asked with a pleading look on her face. She look so adorable. Stacey is really pretty and gorgeous I don't even know why she even became my friend cause if you'll examine her, you'll think she is on of the popular crowd.

"Sure, I think I might buy a new book today. So it's quite a good idea to go there." I answered her with a smile.

While at the bookstore, I can't help thinking about how I survived a year without even talking to Harold. I think I may not take it anymore if it would be like this again this year. I want him to love me. I sound quite desperate but I think if wouldn't do a thing I may regret it someday.

At some section at the bookstore I accidentally saw this ok entitled 'How to make him fall for you.' hmm. I think this might work and I'll make him fall for me using my skill which is reading. I'll make you love me Harold, in my nerdy style.

So I bought the book. Stacey saw it and smiled at me. Saying "Finally! She's doing something for herself."

After that just like what we use to do, we headed at Starbucks to read some of our books. But this time Stacey and I read the book that I bought.
