Chapter Two: Smile and be Gorgeous

Woken up by my alarm clock.  It's 5:30 a.m. why did I set an alarm this early?  Grabbed my phone from the side of my bed and saw a message from Stacey saying that to call her once I woke up.  Once I read the message I called her right away.

"Hey Gem, you woke up early huh?" she said with jolly voice.

"Yeah, you told me to do so right?" 

"I did! and now go take a shower and I'll be there in a few minutes." she said

"Wha-- What? Are you for real?" I asked her but then she hunged up.  That Silly girl.  I'm still quite shocked yet happy that she would come here just to help me.  She said she would come in a few minutes so I took a shower.  

Nearly finished in taking a shower when I heared my mom called me and informed me that Stacey's here.  Wondering why my mom did that and not our maid?  We maybe rich but my mom and dad still cares for me.  In case you are wondering, I'm not an only child I have a little brother named Christian.  He's a freshman and is popular with some of the girls at their school.  He is studying in a different school, he's in an All boys school as far as I know.

Finished taking a shower, I saw Stacey looking for some clothes for me to wear on my wardrobe.  I actually have a big one but as you know I'm a nerd and that part of my room is quite empty but it's not empty anymore because if you can remember, we shopped the other day.  

Stacey made me wear something simple but elegant, hot but not too much, and as far as I know I look good on it.  I'm still wearing my glasses so what she did is get rid of it she broked my glasses. She stepped on it.  Urrggh.  I loved that. :( So What I did was wear my contact lenses *don't worry it's a clear one not the colored one*.  Stacey fixed my hair and did my make-up.  She made it so simple yet it looks good on me.  Not to brag but I look like one of the pretty girls you see in the movies.  

After that makeover time that lasted about an hour.  We still have enough time to go to school so we drove off using Stacey's car.

So this is it.  It's now or never.  I have to do this now.  I opened the door of Stacey's car and as I stood I saw almost everyone looking at me.  And addition were at the parking lot.  As me and Stacey entered the hallway all of them are staring at me like I'm some new student.  

As I go to my locker I saw Harold.  And he saw me too.  Our eyes met I smiled but he looked away.  Why? Why did he have to treat me like this?  Didn't I look pretty?

"Hey! I haven't seen you are you a transfer student?" Matt asked me.  For your information, Matt is a playboy he's not Harold's friend but they know each other.  atleast Harold acts like he know him not like in my case where he acts like he doesn't even know me.  Is it bad being a nerd,  but now I'm not a nerd anymore so somehow i think he'll talk to me.

"No I'm not Matt?  You didn't know me?  I'm the nerd you said you would never like even if the world would end."  He looked at me.  He's so confused.

"You-- You're that Gemima the ugly nerd?" He asked me with a confused look but afterwards he laughed.

"HAHAHA. So You changed your look and tried to look pretty? For who?" He asked me.

"Haha." I gave him a sarcastic laugh "It's none of your business." I told him.  I'm getting use to this 'don't act like a nerd' thing.  Well it's like I'm out of my little cage and now I'm telling people what i really think of em.

**LUNCH TIME**

I think I should proceed to step 1 which is Smile and be gorgeous.  I'm here at the cafeteria with Stacey and I think I'll do the plan.

Harold is walking towards they're table.  And again, our eyes met.  Guess what I did? I smiled like a gorgeous girl that you can't help but fall in love with.  Actually I used the magic smile.  The smile that  can actually make guys faint as it was said on the book.  And Stace thinks that it can really make a guy faint.

Guess what again? I think it worked but only a little bit.  He just kinda blushed? I think so, but i think I only imagined it.  But atleast i think that it worked.

Actually it's been a week since I decided to do that Smile and be Gorgeous mission from the book.  And i actually think that it would work.  

And guess what? Last thursday at the hallway I saw him looked at me.  And it's not from my imagination anymore..... I think.

And Last Friday I think he did looked at me at the cafeteria while I was eating lunch.  Dunno but I think this plan is kinda working.

Guess what today is? It's Monday!! and Monday means that we got to see the results of the Smile and be Gorgeous plan.

"Gem, he's here." Stacey whispered

"Yeah, I'm getting ready to do the magic smile again."

I smiled at him.  and guess what?

He just SMILED BACK!!!!!!!!!!!

Does this mean where friends again?

Or does this mean that we could bring old times back?

I was wrong.

He didn't smiled at me. 

He smiled at Leanna.  The most popular girl in school.  And the most gorgeous.  They call her the school's Princess.  And guess who's the prince? 

The prince is Harold of course.
