I kept running, my paws beating down on the cold forest floor. The barks and howls of the other rouges sounded behind me as I veered right, into a cold river. It was early spring so the ice from the mountains had to melt. I rolled in the water, trying to mask my sent to throw the others off. I ran back the direction that I was running from, a move they won’t think of. I ran for miles, till the sun went down. When I stopped I took a deep breath of the cold night air, I then walked around to find shelter, and thank the moon goddess, a dry cave, just big enough for me. I was exhausted; I was tired of this lifestyle, running, and killing. It was getting overwhelming. “How did my life get so messed up?” I fell asleep thinking about the old days.
“YOU'RE SO WEAK! YOU ARE NO SON OF MINE, YOU OMEGA!” my father gave me one last kick in the stomach before heading to bed. I cried, I cried silently but hard. “Tonight’s the night.” I thought to myself. Once both of my parents were asleep I ran, I ran far and fast.
I HAD to survive I became something I didn’t want to be. A killer. I had no other choice, I wanted to survive. I couldn’t live that life anymore. I woke up with tears in my eyes. I shook my head to stop the tears. My senses were a bit slow after my not so peaceful slumber, but that didn't stop me from hearing howls, I got nervous, I ran out of the cave and ran further in the woods. I thought I lost them but I was wrong. I got tackled to the grown by a big blonde wolf. I tried to escape him, I used all my strength, but I couldn’t beat him, I tried I really did but I just couldn’t he was so strong, too strong, but in the end, he won. This as all for nothing, all the blood that I have spilled on my hands, all the cold winter nights I had to fight through it might just all be in vain, I’m going to die here. Dying by the hands of an enemy is better than dying at the hands of a family member. Well, that’s what I thought, instead of killing me right there, i felt a sharp pain in my neck, then my senses got fuzzy as I lost consciousness.

I awoke in some sort of basement. I shook my head, trying my best to shake off all the sticks and small pebbles off my silky brown fur. My ears picked up at the sound of footsteps pacing. As my eyes adjusted to the darkness i could see a sliver of light coming from the crack between the heavy iron door and the cement floor. I could hear bits and pieces of their conversation.
“An omega sir.” One voice said,
“4,000” the other responded. They're talking about selling me!? I listened closer, “He is a rare male omega, he is worth 60,000.” The first voice sounded like they were getting angry.
“He is a rouge, hard to handle.” That's right. “I need to make money, how about…” he trailed off, “30,000?” There was silence, “Sold.”
I started to panic, I stood up, only to realize that my paws were chained. I tugged at them. I could turn into my human form, maybe that would work? If they see me trying to escape they might attack me, my fur offered the best protection. I examined the chains, looking for a weak link, the two people outside the room left a while ago l, presumably to get payment. Then I saw it, there was rust on the chains near the cuffs, a few tugs later I got it to break. I couldn't get the cuffs off and I still had some chain links on them, making a rattling sound when I walked. But I was free.
Shadows cast over the bottom of the door, then the jingling of keys filled the silence. A soft click sounded when the door was unlocked.
“What the!?!” Was all they could shout before I bolted past them into the hallways. They transformed into their wolf form and chased after me.
I ran, and i ran fast. Never have i ever felt this rush before. My heart was beating 100 mph, my body was warm, even in this cold weather. I looked back and i only saw one wolf chasing me. “ I guess they split up.” i thought to myself. I felt confident, i was going to get away, i just had to out run this one wolf, how hard would that be? Well i thought it wouldn’t be hard until i got tackled to the ground. Suddenly all my rush i had earlier went away. All my past experience came to me in a flash. “FIGHT!” I bolted up, the rush coming back, I needed, no I had to fight, I wasn't going to die here, I worked too hard to die here, I survived this long, I could do this. I know i can.
I backed up to get some space between us. We both stayed completely still waiting for the other to make the first move. Not long after he ponced right at me, me dodging in the process, he got right back up, now again in the same position we were in before. This time i wasn't going to wait. I leaped right in, aiming for his neck. I missed but i wasn't going to give up. We fought a bit more, me ending up with a blood arm but in the end i did it, i killed him. My rush came down and now i was just tired, i wanted to give up. I was sore, tired, and hurt. I wandered around a bit more limping in the process. I saw something that looks familiar, i couldn't remember why until i got closer. Two wolves popped in my head, a female and a male. I smiled a bit and walked slowly into the cave that had two big trees covering the entrances. I pushing the branches with my head in the process. I walked further in the cave until i got to the end, unlike other caves where it ends, this one leads to a new place. This place is beautiful, it has trees, green grass and when it has water on it, it looks like the grass is sparkling, and a waterfall that leads to a swimming hole. It's beautiful and it’s safe. Nobody knows about it besides me and two others.
“Armin, Mikasa.” Those were the last words i spoke until i passed out.
