When I left the arcade I saw Alexa run up the stairs on the left of the hallway, so I did the same. I got up to the top of the stairs to see a window, the sun setting outside. "It's beautiful, isn't it?", someone said behind me. I looked behind me and saw Alexa leaning on the staircase railing. "I've never met a stalker before. You better got some nerve to sneak upon someone like me.", she continued. I was a bit confused, then insulted, then finally, scared. "What-um no-I'm not..", I stuttered for the right word. Alexa smiled. Suddenly, I felt like my heart was the sun, the rays flowing through my veins, warming me all over. I was relived to see her smile like that, though I wasn't sure why.
"Dude, it's okay. I was just kidding.", she said reassuringly. Alexa walked over to the window and leaned on the railing in front of it next to me. Her hand touched mine, but she took it away almost instantly. I was surprised to see her blush, and it was adorable. She truly was pretty. "Hey, you want to see something awesome?", Alexa asked, but she wasn't expecting an answer, she just ran up the next flight of stairs.
I followed her to a bar/lounge called Dizzy's. She sat down on a chair at the bar and asked for a Shirley Temple. I sat down just as the man asked for her soda pass. It's like a special program that you can get when you get on the ship. Alexa apparently didn't have one, so she went to go sit down on a lounge chair with a coffee table and another chair. I felt obliged to be nice to her for some reason, so I went up to the bartender and asked for two Shirley Temples, since I had a soda pass. I showed him my card and then he gave me the drinks. I sat down next to Alexa and handed her a glass. She looked confused. "Oh, you didn't have to do that. I could've just gotten water.", Alexa objected. Then I smiled. "No, you couldn't have, because you wanted a Shirley Temple. So I got you one. Your welcome.", I said.
I hadn't realized it, but Alexa had picked a seat with a window view of the whole ocean in front of us. It was a lot darker now; the moon shone overhead. We stared for a while out of the window. "The stars are beautiful.", Alexa said in awe. "Yeah.", I said dreamily, only to realize she was talking about the stars in the sky, not the stars in her eyes. God, she was more beautiful than the whole night sky. Soon, I remembered something. "Hey, do you maybe want to go see a movie tonight?", I asked. Then she did that cute smile of her's.
