The trip to their new home took much longer than Jordan expected, with his mom in front, siblings at the back with him and his dad driving he didn't hope at the slightest thought that the journey would be fun.

Jordan's mom reading the worry from the look on his face through the rear mirror said.

"Jordan, I promise you'll love the new house," she smiled trying to cheer him up.

"Why don't you go put him on your lap and sing lullabies to him, if he ain't fine with us moving then he'd better get a roof over his head with his school allowances," Jordan's dad retaliated, forgetting the fact that the discussion didn't involve him.

Mr. Brad hadn't always been the patient type with his own seeds, much less with Jordan his son.

Sarah, his mom turned to Brad wearing a look of irritation.
"You being hard on him isn't necessary you know," the conversation was about to take on an ugly look before Jordan's younger sister Ema cut in.

"Okay, could we not do this in the car right now?!," her hands were held up as if she were loosing it.

Jordan's dad chuckled
"Oh the young lady at the back now yells at me, product of disrespectful ovums!"

"Brad?!"

"You can't talk to them that way, you're their father remember?" Sarah tried to stay calm.

Brad replied in a tone of sarcasm

"Sorry, my memory fails me," he winked.

Sarah sighed so loud, she couldn't help it.

As the journey went on, her mind wandered to the realms of the past when everything between Brad and her were as rosy as she'd never expected.

He was the man she needed, the one she wanted. Everything about him seemed perfect so perfect that she began to doubt if he really existed. Then, he worked at the national defence intelligence unit in the military before moving over to a database management system still in the military.

She just loved everything about him, his composure, manner of speech, neatness, looks just name it, he had everything.
They met at a dinner party thrown by her brother who had connections in Brad's field of work, they met, exchanged contacts, had a few dates and boom! Everything fell into place they were engaged and she just couldn't wait for the time she would be his forever, but there was a detail she failed to pickup about Brad.

That was the beginning of everything.
