It was a gray, cloudy Sunday morning and Belle was the the first of the household to notice the stranger.
He peered through the window, unaware of Belle. He seemed to be concentrating on something. Belle stood there, wide-eyed, trying to figure out who he was. It suddenly occurred to Belle that she must tell her father about this stranger.
She turned around quickly and ran to her father's study. Belle burst through the doorway, yelling: "Father, father, there is someone at the door! "What, where?" He said, alarmed. "At the door, a stranger!" Belle exclaimed back. Her father got up swiftly and half-ran, half-walked to the door.
Belle ran after him. Once they got to the door, Belle's father wrenched it open. The stranger's eyes darted toward Belle's father. "Long time, no see Maurice." The stranger said to her father "Same to you, Jack" Maurice replied. "So, why are you here Jack?" asked Belle's Father. Jack leaned in closer to Maurice and said: " The Great Evil, it has awoken!"
