Rain's POV-

"GRAAAACEEE! Look at the mess you made! Now we have to wash all these plates!!!"

I holler after my best friend after she had grabbed my waist and made me drop all the plates I was taking down to the cafeteria.

"Sorry!" She said with a slight blush.

I bent down and started gathering the plates.

After I did, Grace took them out of my hands.

"I'll do it for you!" She said, and started walking down the stairs to the cafeteria.

Brushing off my hands, I heard footsteps approach behind me.

Turning around I saw it was April, another one of my close friends.

"What did she do this time?" She asks, giggling a bit.

"Grabbed my waist..." I grumble.

She swallowed her laughter.

"It's obvious she likes you." She said, winking at me.

I felt my face grow red.

"S-she couldn't! I have a boyfriend!!!" I manage to squeak out.

'Nice stuttering' I thought to myself.

April let out a small sigh.

"It would seem that way, wouldn't it? C'mon. Let's get to class." She suggested.

I nodded and followed her to class.

After we arrived at class 2-8, she and I took our seats.

Garrett, Emily, Aiden, Ryan, Jayden and Savannah were already at their seats.

After a while Grace hurriedly ran into class and took her seat.

April poked me, and whispered to me; "Jayden's looking at ya."

I growled.

I hated Jayden.

Him being popular around the girls in the school, he expected me to like him, too.

He was a snobby boy, a model for men's magazines, and an absolute jerk.

"I hate that guy..." I whispered back.

"Everyone should!" She exclaimed, laughing a bit.

I nodded in agreement.

After a while our teacher, Mrs.Saxon, walked into class.

"Good morning everyone! Sorry I'm late! My cat was a bit sick is morning!" She said, earning a small "aw..." From most the girls in the class.

"Now, as you know the school fair is today!" She said happily.

Everyone cheered.

"Now, class. Only some people get to go! The students who behaved!" She said, and the cheering stopped.

"And those students are..."

Everyone leaned in to listen.

"Rain, April, Grace, Garrett, Emily, Aiden, Savannah, and Miguel!!!" She said happily.

April let out a sigh of relief and flopped back in her chair.

"The students names I just called out, please.. Go have some fun! The rest of you, I will pass out worksheets for you to work on!" Mrs.Saxon said.

I got up and followed everyone else out of the classroom.

The hallways were decorated with streamers and posters.

"Wow! A school carnival!" April exclaimed.

I nodded and followed her downstairs where there were concession stands and "games" placed randomly around the halls.

'The games look so.. Stupid!' I thought, glancing at a game where you had to toss the beanbag into a bucket to win some type of sticker.

"This looks so childish!" Savannah said, laughing.

I nodded.

"Who cares? We're out of the classroom!" Garrett said.

Little did I know... Some of us, would never see classroom 2-8 again.
