"Holy dang," Drew mumbled to herself.

Casey is her new neighbor. She can't believe she made a fool of herself going over there, and bringing cookies. I mean, he was so cute and...

"Snap out of it Drew, he has a girlfriend," Drew said to herself as she stuffed her face into her pillow, and screamed as loud as physically possible.

She walked over to her CD player, and put on "This Is Gospel."

"MMMM, THIS IS GOSPEL," she sang on the top of her lungs.

All of a sudden, her phone beeped. It was her friend Zac. He went to a different high school. Zac was the epitome of a jock. He was tall, with swoopy brown hair. His eyes were the shade of chocolate, and he was strong. Some girls would say he was hot. Drew thought he was pretty darn cute.

Their texts went like this:

Hey loserr-Zac

Hey muggle, what's up?-Drew

You know just being 2cool4u-Zac

As usual-Drew

Um, I need to ask you something-Zac

Drew always freaked out when someone said that they need to ask her something. Was it going to be important? Or was it going to be something really stupid?

Yes?-Drew

Do you know the muffin man?-Zac

I hate you-Drew

You know you love me-Zac

Nah.-Drew

Wow, thanks, but I have a question for you-Zac

What?-Drew

Are you going to homecoming this year?-Zac

I think so. How bout u?-Drew

Yeah. I was hoping to go with someone thought.-Zac

Oh. Yeah.-Drew

Would you go with me?-Zac

Are you asking me this over text? Wow. Brave...-Drew

I didn't mean for you to get upset.-Zac

Okay-Drew

Okay I guess-Zac

Drew punched her pillow. Why do boys have to be so stupid. So cowardly. She changed the song she was listening to, to I Wanna Get Better by the Bleachers.

It was Friday. It was the weekend. She would have a break. Even though she's only been in school for 2 days, she was exhausted. She fell right asleep when the song If I Knew by Bruno Mars came on. That night, she had the worst dream of her life.

Drew had walked into school, but no one was there. She went all around the school, until she finally found her friends in the lunch room. They were all staring straight at her, with bloodshot eyes, and pale skin. There was a faint, organ playing in the background.

"Look what she did to us," David moaned.

"She's coming for you," Kayla and Alia said in unison.

"And she will find you," Hunter and Tyler said.

"There is nowhere you can hide," Helen said, in a hypnotized tone.

"MWAHAHAHAHA," Lauren cackled.

"Drew, Drew, where are you my lovely?" Ghost Avery said. You could see right through her transparent skin. She looked evil, possessed even.

"Drew, my love, come over here," said Ghost Zac who floated up to the right side of Avery.

"Yeah, come on Drew. Dance with me," Ghost Casey said as he floated up on the other side of Avery.

Ghost Avery took both Zac and Casey's hand and started dancing with them. And then the other people started dancing. As they spun, Drew realized they were ghosts too. Drew started to scream, but no sound came out. She looked down, and she too, was a ghost, under Avery's spell. Drew struggled to talk, struggled to scream, but there was no sound from her. Just the faint sound of an organ, and Avery's devilish scream.

It was 3:14 in the morning, when Drew woke up crying. She had seen people change under Avery's spell in real life, but this nightmare just put it over the top. She couldn't stand it. Drew sat there, covered by layers of sheets and blankets, but she still shivered. Was she the only one who could see how truly evil Avery was? Was there someone else out there who thought the same as her?
