Jacks P.O.V

I arrived at the coffee shop 20 minutes early, so as to make a good impression. I walked over to the counter and ordered myself a cup of coffee (Duh it was a coffee shop). As I sat there I absent mindenly began drumming on the table top with my fingers. I was nervous. What if she did not turn up? What she did not like me? No. I was being silly.

As I contemplated all reasons to bolt straight through that door my phone buzzed. Maybe this was the excuse I was looking for as I looked down at the I.D however my heart sank, but not because it wasn't the gorgeous Talylor.

No, my heart sank because it was my mom. It must have been important for her to text me. She never text.

As I read the message my heart sank even lower.

"Your dad's in hospital come quick"

This had me up quick nearly spilling my coffee. You see my dad had been having problems with his heart lately, so the fact that he was in hospital scared me. I loved him so much, I couldn't see my life without him.

But what about Taylor. It was now quarter to one what would I do. It was like there was a battle in my head; wait fifteen minutes and tell her why I had to go or leave a note and be with my dad. I decided upon the later, my dad was more important right now.

I grabbed a pen from the table next to me and a random, red napkin and wrote her a message .

"Dear Taylor(I hope it's taylor ) Don't think I'm blowing you off or anything, but I just received a terrible phone call and had to rush off to hospital as my dad has had a nasty fall. I hope you can forgive me here is my phone number please ring or text me so that we can arrange to meet me some other time. Lots of love Jack "

And with that I was off. I had two worries on my mind :

1) will my dad be okay

2) will Taylor get that message
