PLAGIARISM IS A CRIME
Jisung sighed heavily whilst tapping his pencil against his desk. He would rather be anywhere in the world except from his history lesson right now. Heck, he'd rather be in choir singing all the wrong notes hence infuriating the short but impressionable Mr. Lee, who often encourages students to call him 'Woozi'. What kind of 90's hip hop name is that?
He could feel himself gradually drifting off to the soft sounds of Mr. Boo chattering away about the Persians. "-and that is why the Alexander the Greats empire was so successful. Sure, they had their ups and downs, and sure good ol' Alex didn't live to see it in action but-."
He closed his eyes and slouched, if he was lucky Mr. Boo would let him off. He was known to be that kind of teacher.
Rubbing his eyes tiredly, he resisted the urge to fight back a yawn. It felt good. How long had he been out? No one had awakened him, which was strange. He itched his head in confusion, where was everybody? It was light in the classroom but there was nobody there. Had no one bothered to alert him that class was over? No, his friends wouldn't do that. No matter how ditzy some of them were.
He shuffled out of his seat and looked around. Nothing unordinary. He called out only to be met with dead silence. It was oddly calming, if you ignored the eeriness of it all.
He had to find someone, he didn't like being alone for too long. The eyes piercing his back went unnoticed to the hamster-looking boy. If he had been more observant, he would have sensed the other presence in the classroom. He turned his back, and it vanished instantly. Jisung felt his skin prickle.
He searched his pockets for his phone, only to find it missing. What thief took his phone? An inkling of him suspected a kid who sat at the back called Hyunjin. He had the knack for looking terrifying suspicious all the time.
He swallowed a deep breath and closed his eyes to calm himself, e wasn't in danger nor in the target of bullying. There was no reason to get paranoid.
In the midst of bringing back his piece of mind, his thoughts were interrupted by the soft words sung by a melodic voice. Without a second thought, Jisung hastily ran towards it, dodging the chairs and the step and the doorway. Perhaps this person could explain what was going on.
It was coming from the class 3 corridors down his own. He doubted that he would have heard it if it had not of been as silent as it was. The door was wide open and as he ran closer he could see a figure siting cross legged on the teachers desk-
"-an! Mr. Han Jisung! Can you hear me? Class ended 3 minutes ago, you can go home now! Mr. Han!" The shouts of his teacher forced him awake and he frowned. What had just happened?
"Hey! Don't give me that look after I blessed you with 39 minutes of unfairly gifted sleep! I tell you Mr. Yoon, kids these days have no respect." Mr. Boo exaggerated good-heartedly. This was why everybody loved him, Mr. Jung should take notes.
He smiled awkwardly as he tried to find the right words to apologise with, although it wasn't as serious as it could have been he should still say sorry. You never know how long a teacher could hold a grudge, no matter how good hearted they were.
"Uh.. I'm really sorry Mr. Boo, I'm really thankful, it won't happen again!" He managed to spit out nervously. He even fit in a quick bow just to be on the good side. Mr. Yoon might try to twist his words around for the fun of it.
Mr. Boo laughed loudly and clasped his hands together in an exaggerated prayer, "It's fine Jisung, just don't let it happen again, alright?" He patted his back softly.
Jisung nodded gratefully, "Of course, I'll be on my best behaviour from now on."
"Come on now, don't go making promises you can't keep! Hurry home now!" Mr. Yoon shooed him out of the classroom with a too wide smile on his face. Jisung will never understand how the respectful Mr. Hong ended up marrying him. It's a strange world.
With that, Jisung made his way home after grabbing his belongings from his locker. He prayed that it wouldn't rain because he didn't have Changbin's umbrella to steal- borrow.
All thoughts of the weird dream left his mind till later that night, where more danger was yet to come...
