Charles and Annie were asleep in their bed, his arm around her,

And then there was a bathroom separating their room and their daughter room.

Their daughters name was Farrah.

Farrah was asleep with her teddy bear named Bill, her stuffed kitty named Annabel and her froggy named Youyou.

When there was a bang. It was loud. But only Charles woke up. It startled him from his sleep. Careful not to wake his sleeping wife, He shifted around, and then got out of bed, grabbing a flashlight that he always keeps on the side of his bed.

He walked to the door and looked out into the hallway. It was empty.

Another bang. It didn't really sound like a gunshot, only something really loud banging against each other.

Then he thought, oh, maybe it's the neighbors re-constructing their house, they had been doing that for about three months, but when he looked up at the big hall clock, it was a quarter after three a.m. No. They wouldn't being doing that at 3.25 a.m.

He wandered downstairs. Not too afraid, he was a good 6'2 and had an 8 pack. And big arm muscles.

He didn't think he could be afraid of anything.

Until he turned the corner to the kitchen and saw this.
