The new girls secrets

Prologue

I made my way to the principal's office to get my diploma. Today is the day that I finally leave this hell hole and start my new life.

I knocked softly on the principal's door

"¡Adelante!" (Come in)

I turned the knob and walked in, I was greeted by the big guy I call my principal

"Ah, Valerie, es un placer verte, así que hoy es el gran día, ¿eh?" (Oh, Valerie, it's a pleasure to see you, so today is the big day, huh?)

he said to me as I walked in "ya supongo que es" (I guess it is)

I still can't wrap my head around it.

He handed me my diploma and gave me a warm smile as I️ looked down at it.

finally, after all this hard work I get to graduate a semester early.

I thanked him and hurriedly left back to my car to my mother.

"¿Estás listo para conseguir algo de comida?"(Are you ready to get some food?)

"sí." After we finished dinner it was time to go back home, but while we were walking back to the car my mother realized she left something

"oh dejé mi bolsa allí" (oh I left my bag there) she said to me

"Voy a conseguirlo" (I'll get it)

I ran back inside to get it. I was walking back outside twirling her keys around my finger, but I couldn't see my mom.

I heard a quiet scream coming from the alley so I cautiously walked towards it.

I️ rounded the corner slowly and saw my mom held up at gunpoint by a man in a mask. I let out a small gasp which was loud enough to make the other man turn to me.

And then he pointed his gun towards me and the other one said to my mom "habla y le disparare" (talk and I will shoot you)

I'll never forget the look in her eyes as she looked at them with pure terror and how tears instantly started pouring down her face when her eyes landed on mine.

The other man started to slowly walk towards me and said

"hola princesa eres una cosita bonita" (hello princess you're a pretty little thing)

He walked around me looking at me up and down with predatory eyes and picked up a piece of my hair and twirled it around his finger.

my mother looked at the man with pure disgust in her eyes and then she looked back at me, her eyes pleading with me.

I️ didn't know what she was trying to say until I️ saw her lips mouth "Te amo cupcake" (I️ love you cupcake)

I️ looked at her concerned and saw another tear stream down her face and join the other ones that were soaking her shirt.

why was she saying this? why did it sound like she was saying goodbye?

She jumped up quickly pushing the man's gun on the floor and kicked him in the crotch he fell back onto the ground in agony

then she screamed "Valerie corre!" (Valerie run) and I did.

The guy holding the gun to me looked at my mother distracted and ran over to my mom I️ ran as fast as I could out of the alley.

As I ran I heard a gunshot ringing through the air and I stopped in my tracks tears poured down my face.

I heard the laughter of two murderers as they looked at my dead mother bleeding to death on the ground in front of them.

As I got to the car I️ quickly unlocked the doors and dialed 911 I️ told them what happened and gave them my number to call In case they needed.

I drove with tears streaming down my face thinking about what just happened

She's gone she's really gone. What am I️ going to do? How am I️ going to survive without her?

I parked the car in front of my house and walked to the door as I unlocked the front door I was grabbed by the neck and thrown into a nearby lamp.

The sound of shattering glass filled my ears and a choked sob escaped my lips.

I looked up to see eyes filled with hatred. Eyes that belonged to my father.

As I struggle to get off the floor he lands another kick to my stomach and then pulls me off the floor by my hair and with his free hand punches me in the throat.

"Dónde has estado" (where have you been)

I let out a shaky breath and begged him to stop "papa por favor detente" (papa please stop) I whimpered.

"Nunca seré el padre de algo tan asqueroso como tú." (I will never be the father of something as disgusting as you.)

I let out a choked sob and try to crawl away but he grasps my ankles and pulls me back.

He then screamed "responde la pregunta" (Answer the question.)

"Yo solo la dejé por un segundo y ahora está muerta." (I just left her for a second and now she's dead.) I️ said and then curled into a ball and sobbed.

He pulled me up with a sadistic smile punched me in the gut and said "tu madre no puede salvarte ahora puta" (your mother cannot save you now Bitch.)

My eyes widened I️n realization. He was right she's gone and now I have no way to escape him

He was walking out the door he said one more thing to me.

"Empaque sus maletas nos mudamos a California por la mañana" (Pack your bags we move to California in the morning) I looked up at him shocked and then all saw was black.

That is how one day changed the rest of my life forever...
