As he walked through the vacant streets, Levi gripped the gun in his hand until his knuckles were white. He didn't want to do this, he never did.

Taking the life of another living breathing person was second nature to Levi, he'd done it countless times. But every time he did it it only added to his madness.

He wanted to run away... So far away.

As his grip loosened on the gun his mind drifted back to that boy. His thick, brown hair. His big, vibrant eyes. His smile and the way he looked back at Levi. When the bright, oceanic teal eyes clashed with the ice cold, steel grey ones. It was so unforgettable to Levi.

But why?

Knock it the hell off, you don't even know him and he has a life!

Levi rubbed is sore head from the impact of Kenny's gun as he made his way through the streets. He felt something grow in the back of his mind...an act...a daring act.
Run away....Escape.

He could take a chance, this chance right now. What was so different today? This sudden confidence, determination to run away. After all this time, it all of the sudden hit him like a brick.

Just go.
Fucking go!

He no longer contradicted himself and in the split second that his mind was made up, he was already down the street and on his way to...anywhere.

"W-what the- Rivaille!!!"

Levi could hear Kenny's vicious, rugged voice screaming at him. It only made him run faster. Faster and faster until his legs felt numb. Kenny's rugged voice faded and Levi knew he was escaping. With every shriek that emitted from that man, it faded. With every faded word that Levi heard, he knew he had escaped.

The school.

It was an ignorant idea but his only idea. Not only was Levi giving off a pure indication that he was not a student, his clothing just straight up made him look like a homocidal maniac.

Who was he kidding, he's KILLED people, countless people. He couldn't ever free his conscious of such a burden. Levi was running from the past, but could he really, truly escape it?

Running. Running. Run, was all he did until the front entrance to the high school building was in his pleading view.

What am I doing? I can't go in there.... But where else can I go?

As the last remaining students entered the school, Levi darted to the entrance, desperate for a chance of freedom and the possibility of redemption. Levi ran into the school, his mind a blur and only acting out of sheer recklessness.

Despite his dreadful appearance, students remained oblivious as did staff. People brushed past Levi in a haste to beat the bell to first period. Some gave him odd looks, but nothing short of an indecent scoff was admitted to him by one student he could almost put off as a horse.

Levi paced around the school nervously as his conscious consistently nagged him of his reckless effort of escape. Students began walking out of the halls and entering classrooms. Then there stood Levi, clueless as ever.

Fuck! What am I supposed to do? Where do I go? Why the fuck did I come here!?

A thought occurred to Levi then. That boy, that boy with the bright eyes and warm smile could help him.

Desperately he searched around for the boy. Lingering around for those bright, green eyes. Then he saw him, he saw the boy and for some odd reason he felt relief.

The boy stood casually at his locker as he shone a cheeky grin towards a smaller, blonde boy who's cheeks were dusted pink. Levi watched in what was mostly curiosity at the boy's swift movements as he rushed to gather all of the necessities needed for class.
