Logan's pov:
I headed to my locker, sighing quietly as I set my things inside. I looked at my locker door, smiling slightly as I looked at some old photos of me and 34 from elementary school. I gathered what I needed and headed to the first class of the day: Latin.
This made me smile a little since Latin was one of my best classes. I grew up hearing latin, thanks to my uncle Victor and my sister Vicky.
I hummed softly, heading to class and sitting in the back as usual. I was the first one there so it was just me....and Derek....of course. I frowned and sighed when he walked up to me with a big, stupid grin on his face.
"What now, Adeline?" I groaned, hearing him growl when I said his last name.
"You better check your attitude, Ghost Girl." He spat and slammed his hands on the desk, which made me flinch. "And look up at me when I'm talking to you!"
To get it over with, I just did as I was told, frowning. "What?" I mumbled, eyes widening when he grabbed my locket. "This is pretty~"
"L-Let go of it!!" I yelled, struggling as he yanked it off, popping the chain. "My father gave me that!" I cried out, my words wavering as I felt a lump in my throat. I couldn't call for help since there was nobody in sight. I was grabbed by the arm and pulled closer to him, tears burning my eyes as he leaned into my ear.
"Daddy isn't here to protect you, now is he?" He snarled, my chest tightening as I let out a pathetic cry. He threw me down, the boy towering over me as I could do nothing but look up at him in pure terror. "You're pathetic." He hissed at me, his steel blue eyes piercing my very soul.
The bell rang soon and he kicked me jn the stomach, a pained sob leaving me as I curled up on the ground and watched him walk away with all I had left of my father.
"I-I'm so sorry daddy..." I sobbed brokenly, flinching when I felt a gloved hand on my shoulder. 34.
"Hey...are you okay? What happened to you..?" She asked quietly.
I started to explain what happened, breathing uneven as I choked between sobs. As soon as I started, I saw the fury in her eyes.
"He took it too far this time.." She snarled, helping me up and sitting at our table, angrily scribbling in her notebook.
As class went on, I silently did my work and put my head down, shaking. I wish dad was here....I miss him and the twins...
I started thinking back to when I was with dad and my siblings, Vicky and Mallory. They would always comfort me or defend me at times like this...
Too bad both of my siblings moved away and my father is gone. I jumped and cried out when 34 shook me awake, taking me to our next class.
The rest of the school day was pretty calm. I sat and talked with Micaela, ate lunch with Hope and occasionally attempted to talk to 34, though she was pretty busy plottimg revenge or fawning over Ross. Despite all that, I was still thinking about my locket Derek stole from me.
I need to get it back.
