James had left me in the room without knowing what was really going on, I was scared shitless. He left me with my thoughts and ideas of my own mind. Why did the "Italians" want to do with me? Did they want me because they had some grudge on my parents? Why didn't mom and dad prepare me for something like this? All these thoughts and no answers. I sat down in the small couch looking around. The room felt more like a living room than a basement or secret room. There was a portrait behind the couch wrapped in plastic, it was so dusty it looked like it had been there for years. I unwrapped it and set it on the floor. It was Asim's family. There was two girls, Kamaria and Naima, and a younger and happy version of Asim, and two adults, his parents. His mom looked like an angel, her smile was so warm. His father was tall and looked happy. They apparently had a golden retriever because Asim's father was holding a little pup.
"Open up miss. James send me he's been hit we have to get you out of the house." A masculine voice said.
"Um I don't think I can open the door. James told me to stay here."
"Miss this is a matter of life or death. The house has been invaded and we have reason to belief there is a bomb planted somewhere. Please miss."
I put the portrait down and looked in all the cabinets. I needed something to protect myself incase this guy was a spy or something. I accidentally hit a painting and found a whole in the wall, I put my hand in it and found just what I was looking for. A gun and this time I checked to make sure it was loaded, and it was, there was also money stashed in their but 1. I didn't need it and 2. that wasn't my business.
"Ok I'm gonna open the door now."
"Ok miss just hurry up this house could blow up any minute."
I opened the door and saw this guy who was barely taller than me and was extremely pale.
"I'm so sorry, they threatened to kill me and my family."
"Ok I'll take it from here you can go now." A man said from behind the pale guy. He didn't know I had the gun in my pocket but I went along with it.
"So your the Italians representative," I burped out. It was so hard to control my tongue in these situations. But it always made me seem somewhat of a badass.
"You can say that. And you must be the brat thats getting me a million dollars."
"Those Italians must be stupid sending their worst man and offering so much money. I hope your not counting on that money to go somewhere or pay of rent."
He slammed me into the wall with a serious face. I clearly pissed him off. Perfect.
"You are so stupid, falling right into my trap." I said smirking. I took out the gun and quickly pulled the trigger. His eyes were in shock and blood came out of his mouth. I pushed him aside and went back into the room but fell. The ringing in my ear was... like hell. I covered my hears and but it was useless. The noice became louder and louder. I got up and walked into the room, and closed it. After that I collapsed into the cold floor.
"Flora please, wake up."
I'm trying my best, but I can't.
"She's unconscious and has a lot of bruises from staying in the basement floor for so long. I don't know when she'll wake up but just give her this medicine and call me if anything changes."
"How could I not see this coming."
No one could predict an attack.
I heard a lot of voices but couldn't wake up. All I remembered was being in the basement with James and looking for something. Most of the voices I heard were Asim's. He sounded worried.
