Nightmare was having a nightmare because he had a fever of 103°F and went to bed without telling anyone about being sick. Error told Dream that Nightmare was sick and that's why he went to bed. Error told Dream he is going to check on Nightmare as he made his way upstairs. He walked into Nightmare's room to find him having a nightmare. Error check Nightmares temperature and noticed it was 103°F. The Dream Sans was now in the room. Error told Dream how high his fever was and about him having a nightmare as they speak. Error tried to wake him and was successful with it. Nightmare jolted awake looking very terrified. Error pulled him close to his chest. He let Nightmare cry for a few hours. Nightmare took his fever medicine and pain medicine. He fell back asleep in a few seconds. Error watched the unconscious Nightmare Sans as he slept before going to bed just to make sure he was okay. The Error Sans went to bed after a few hours of watching Nightmare sleeping peacefully. The Error Sans was so exhausted once his head hit the pillow he was out cold. The Error Sans was dreaming of him and Nightmare laying in the Outer Tale watching the stars in the sky. But it turned into a nightmare very quickly. Ink attacked him and Nightmare. Also, he was crying and thrashing in his sleep as he watched his beloved boyfriend die because of his severe injuries. He couldn't believe it Nightmare was really gone. He didn't know he was dreaming all of this because he was stuck in a nightmare within a nightmare. Error felt someone one shaking him and calling his name.
