" ahhh omg V we are going to have the best night ever are you wearing your doc martins or can I borrow them?" "what do you think about this too with this skirt to much skin?" exclaimed my best friend April. " A you look beautiful don't worry about a thing." even though she was a bit crazy she has been my bestfriend my entire life and I would do anything for her. I guess that includes going to concerts with her because she has the fattest crush ever on the singer. Finn Wolfhard. I don't blame her he's pretty good looking. but I think maybe she could take it down a notch. anyways tonight we are going to go to his concert. Calpurnia. the group consists of 4 members. Ayla Tesler-Mabe, Malcom Craig, Jack Anderson, and of course the love of her life Finn Wolfhard. see I really love the band I mean there music is incredible and have you seen that girl on the guitar. but I wouldn't call my self a die heart fan.
"and about the shoes um ya sure i'll just wear converse." "really ahh your the best!" "ya lets just get to the concert." I laughed and we walked to the car.
we drove to downtown la in April's moms car. she was coming too because she wanted make sure we were safe. all those crazy girls who knows jeta could happen. her mom understands her obession with finn. that's why she bought us tickets for her birthday. you should of see her face she almost passed out. actually i think she did.
" how do i look do i need more glitter i want to make sure finn sees me so maybe just maybe he could fall in love with me to?"
i laughed at her remark. honestly i would t be surprised if he did i feel as if he's just the type to fall in love with who he falls in love with no matter who you are. " April your beautiful just the way you are and just know when finn sees you he will probably lose his mind and mess up the song." "ahh this is why you are my best friend."
we arrived at the fonda theatre where they will be performing. the line was massive people getting there from 4 am. I finally convinced april that there is no way I am doing that. this is night is for her but i'm not that crazy.
we walked to the back and swear every step she took she lifted 10 feet off the ground. she's so cute. "I just can't believe i'm going to see my favorite people in 10 minutes ahhhhhh" "april my ears" "sorry can you tell i'm exicited" I giggled and rolled my eyes.
we walked into the venue and found a good spot in the middle. loud music started playing and bring red lights came on.
then came the screaming. I plugged my ears and looked up to see Finn doing the same.
I laughed to myself. "uh hey everyone i'm finn and we are Calpurnia thank you all for coming let's rock!" the roar of 13 year old girls came back.
"okay the next song we are going to play is greyhound." the crowd cheered once again. that was my all time favorite song. it was so well done and the instrumental blows my mind everytime.
"my baby's insane" all the girls screamed even louder because he said baby. I guess they all think he's talking about them. all i did was laugh. when I looked at finn he looked at me at the same time. it's was weird you could see his facial expression completely change. he almost stopped singing. the whole crowd was confused. even his band mates have him weird looks. I broke the eye contact and looked down. he started up again a little bit more tense. "that was weird" I whispered to myself. "OMG V he was soooo looking at me he almost stopped playing." I gave her a fake smile almost annoyed of how delusional she was but then again that's "her man"
at once everything speed up. girls dropped to the ground screaming but not because of the band. they were screaming in fear. I don't remember much other then the sound of gun shots and everyone running. I turn to find April and her mom Donna and they are gone. "APRIL WHERE ARE YOU." i screamed not caring if the shooter would here me. I start to panic and run wherever I could. I was in this dark back room I think I was maybe backstage. I heard cries and people feet shuffling I almost wanted to fall to the ground and cry. I was looking around frantic not able to see a single thing. but then I felt a hand grab my arm and pull me into a closet. I tried to stand my ground and started screaming but was defeated and was dragged into the closet.
"AHHHH" "stop screaming it's me, it's finn." he pulled on a string that turned on the light. and there was his brown eyes and messy hair. his freckles where very noticeable and everything I mean everything on his face was shown. we were very close to each other but we didn't say a word. in those 10 minutes this is the most I felt calm. I was ok. but how in the world did I end up in a closet with finn wolfhard. if only april was here. because wow. finn he looks. really really good.
