It's still 2018 here and I'm really pushing it...
But here's the ending to "Do I Know You?"
It's short, but there is a 95% chance there will be a sequel after this story gets edited...
Kenny's POV // 4 months later...

It was an early Thursday morning, a morning that actually felt normal. One that felt like I was actually going to have a normal day. Of course, the day went on as usual. I walked the halls, hung out with my friends, all that stuff.
It was warmer than usual for this time of year, so for once I actually loosened my hood up, accidentally forgetting the cuts from last night's vigilante run.
"Some drunk guy tried to hit me with a bottle. Of course he missed, but some of the shards scrapped my face. Don't worry 'bout it," I was talking to Kyle about it outside during lunch, tossing a can of some off-brand soda from hand-to-hand. It was a new thing for us; just hanging outside of school at different times during the day while talking about random shit that happened that day.
As for us... we're not really sure what to call ourselves anymore. Really good friends who like each other will probably be the best term for it, but changing that to something more seems like an option I'm open to. Maybe not right now, but in the future.
"Do you ever regret it?" Kyle asked. I shot him a confused glance, "Do you ever regret creating Mysterion? Taking on the responsibilities of being a hero?" Oh. That was a hard question to answer. Not one I couldn't answer, but not one I would answer if just anyone asked. Cracking open the can, I thought up a response.
"I mean, sometimes it feels like it, but when you look at the big picture, it's nice helping people out when something bad's about to happen to them, even putting your own life in danger. Also, without Mysterion, we would't have gotten closer, I wouldn't have made the deal, and I wouldn't have saved people from potential danger," I replied, taking a sip from the now open can. The mystery drink didn't taste good, but why let a perfectly good can of whatever go to waste.
"You know things can change, right? You didn't have to make the deal," Kyle muttered, leaning against a nearby wall. I shrugged, taking another sip before placing it down on the ground. I hate thinking about change, especially to this. This moment is why I don't want change. It's perfect the way it is.
"I rather just think about the present. For now at least," I smiled, the bell ringing to mark the end of the lunch period. We both jumped slightly at the shrill sound, rushing inside to merge with the rest of our lunch wave.
One last look at the outside was all I had to preserve the moment. A moment of calm that meant something to the normal day I was having so far. The sentence he said stuck with me...
"You know things can change, right?"
Sure, they can, but that doesn't mean it has to be for the worst. I think that today, that space will never be the same. A good memory was made there, one that reminded me that in this world of chaos, there is always some calmness, even in the smallest amounts of time.
The door clicked shut behind me as I ran to catch up with the others, laughing along to their jokes and random comments.
It was just another normal day here in South Park, Colorado.
