Ella's POV

Most times, I would wake up in the morning and I would get myself some breakfast, and Harry would leave while I was eating. This morning was different. I finished all of my breakfast and Harry hadn't come out of the bedroom once. I cleaned up after myself and walked back into our bedroom.

"Babe, you're going to be late for work," I said. "I saw at least two meetings on the calendar, where's your motivation?"

Harry rolled over with a groan and a congested sneeze.

I quickly sat down next to him. I asked, "You okay, babe?"

I was answered with another sneeze and a deep cough. Harry murmured, "My allergies have been killing me. I don't know how you slept through it. Didn't catch a wink last night."

"Oh Harry," I frowned. I felt his forehead and he felt fine. "I'll call the studio-"

Harry shook his head, "I'm gettin' up. Just tell them I'll be 'bout ten minutes late."

"Whoa whoa whoa, mister. You're not going anywhere."

"Why not?" Harry asked. He sneezed three times into his fist and I gave him a look that said, "you're not going in to work today." Harry groaned. "I've got to get some more recording done, babe. I've got to get an album out soon, I don't have time to-" He cut himself off with a sneeze. "waste."

Gently, I pushed Harry back down into the bed.

I said, "I'm calling the studio, and I'm canceling your meetings until at least tomorrow."

"El, please-" He tried.

"Harry, you already overwork yourself so much. You're not feeling well and you don't want that to create any other problems for you," I explained.

He sighed. "Can you get me some tissues? I think there's a box in the kitchen cabinets somewhere."

I nodded, "Of course."

I went into the kitchen and started looking for a tissue box. After searching for a few minutes I was surprised that we didn't have any. Just as I was about to break the news to Harry, he emerged from the bedroom in a suit. His hair was disheveled, his under-eye bags were a deep purple, and his nose was bright red.

"Harry," I said. My voice was low and my tone was stern.

Harry started, "Just hear me out, okay?" I folded my arms. This was gonna be good. "I'm not going to record and I'm going to sit in the meetings but I will have a white board so I don't have to talk."

I ruffled my hands through my hair. "I don't know, Harry," I said. "It's not just that, I want you to stay home and rest. You need a day off. You never take days off, even when you need it. And you really need one right now."

"How about I go in for a half-day?" He asked. "I'll go in for about three hours and then I'll be home. That's like a third of my regular work day, even less!"

"Okay," I agreed reluctantly.

Harry smiled, then sneezed to the side.

"You need to take some allergy medicine before you go." I went to the cabinet to find some.

"I don't have time, love!" Harry muttered through coughs. "I'm already late, I've got to go now!" He sneezed into his hands twice and then he was out the door.

He ran back in briefly, kissed me, and then he was gone again.

I rolled my eyes. He was stupid.

I believed that even more so when he called me an hour later. "Hey babe, what's up?" I asked.

"I've got to come home," Harry sniffled. "I can't stop sneezin'. 'S driving me absolutely mad."

I nodded, "Okay. When will you be home?"

"That's the thing...I don't th-heh-" He cut himself off, sneezing several times. "Sorry, hang on." He paused and blew his nose a few times. "I don't think I should drive myself home." He sneezed twice more.

"Do you want me to come pick you up?" I asked. "I'm kind of writing something up for work right now. Do you think Louis could grab you? He's in town now, right? I'm sure he won't mind. He also might like to hear what you're working on."

Harry sniffled, "I can text him." He muffled a sneeze or two away from the receiver.

"I love you, I'll see you when you get back home," I said.

When Louis arrived with my idiot boyfriend, I almost laughed at what I saw. Harry's left arm was slung around Louis' shoulder, his right hand pressing a handkerchief to his nose and mouth. I opened the door for the two of them and they stepped inside.

"Hey, Ella," Louis greeted.

I grinned, "Hey, Lou! How have you been?"

Louis let go of Harry for a moment to hug me. Harry took that time to sneeze a flurry of times, and almost lose his balance.

"Fuck, Styles! You absolute moron. What made you think you could even go out today?" Louis asked. "Haven't seen you do something this stupid since we were in the band together."

Harry mumbled, "Sorry, Lou. Y'can go home now."

A pained expression surfaced on Louis' face. He said, "I know that you have everything under control, Ella, but if you need anything don't hesitate to ask me or any of the other boys, yeah?"

"Thank you, Louis," I smiled.

Louis patted Harry on the back and then he left. My attention was brought back to Harry as he lost his footing while sneezing. I wrapped my arms around his body and stabilized him. I then walked him to our bedroom. I helped him sit and then lay down on the bed, and then I went to go grab a few things.

"Babe, where are you going?" He half/hollered half/croaked.

I answered, "I'm grabbing you some medicine and some tissues!"

"Okay!"

I returned to my beautiful boyfriend a few moments later with some medicine, a water bottle, a box of tissues that I finally found, and a wet washcloth.

"Close your eyes," I said softly.

Harry followed my instructions and I put the wet washcloth over his irritated eyes. I then fed him the correct doses of medicine which he washed down with the water, and of course you know what he did with the tissues.

"You can get back to workin', I think I'll be okay."

"I'm going to bring my laptop here so I can be by your side whenever you need me, okay?"

Harry nodded. He then sneezed four times, flinging the washcloth off of his eyes. "Oops."

"Harry!"

"It was an accident!"
