Prologue
"Come on, Harry!"
"I'm busy."
"Just one, Harry. One! It wouldn't kill you to go, would it."
"Quite possible actually."
"Harry!"
Again Lou kept at it, constantly nagging her best friend to just accept the offer. Honestly, it wasn't like Harry was unhappy. Far from it actually! He had just got his new baby- or well bakery, Cloud Nine, and was running everything quite smoothly. He's got all the help, the ingredients, it's all put into place. Everything was alright and okay.
"Harry!"
Well, mostly everything.
"You haven't had a date ever since my wedding day. You know how long that is? Six months. MONTHS!" Lou went off dramatically, which Harry ignored by busying himself with a costumer.
"One red velvet, please."
"To go sir?"
"Yes."
Lou gawked at Harry as he opened the glass counter and pulled out a freshly frosted cupcake, smiling as he examined his work. Heaving out a sigh, Lou grabbed the sweet and shoved it into a a small white box before handing it over to the man in a suite and forced a smile.
"Here you go, sir now have a nice day, bye!" The what seemed to be business man gave Lou an annoyed look before he made his way out of the bakery.
"... And we've just lost what could've been a regular costumer." Lou waved it off.
"Who cares, he's one out of future hundreds. Now will you just listen to me!?" Lou asked sternly, hands on her hips. Harry ran a hand through his hair as he mumbled a few not so nice words before turning to look at his best friend. He straightened himself up and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Yes?"
"Do it Harry."
"No."
"One date."
"No."
"Just a few hours. A mere few hours of your life, Harry! Please?" Harry looked at the blond girl for a moment, staying silent. Lou waited for his answer as she impatiently started to tap her foot against the tiled floor.
In the end though, she knew she was going to win him over. I mean that's how it's always been with her and Harry. She nags until she gets her way. Ready it'll happen in three, two-
"...Fine."
Ding ding ding!
"One date, Lou. ONE date, alright?" Lou nodded frantically as she wrapped her arms around Harry and pulled him into a big and rather tight hug.
"You're going to love him, Harry. Tom said you've met him before. A lad named Louis?" Harry's eyes went wide.
"Louis? That drunk wanker who was practically hitting on everything that had legs at your wedding?"
"That's the one."
"Oh god..." Harry shook his had as he covered his face with his hand.
"He's not that bad, Harry! Tom said they've been best friends since they started working together." Harry snorted.
"Your husband is best friend's with a total douchebag? He left with about three girls right after your reception!"
"Okay, okay! I get it. He might be a bit of a player but Harry," Lou pulled back a bit to look up at her best friend. " He's still a good guy." Harry didn't buy it for one minute. He gave Lou a look and she sighed as she finally let him go.
