It was New Year's Eve and everyone was at Yuri's place for some fun and games. Everyone was drinking except Y/N and Yura who were too young too. While Viktor was starting to strip and Yuri was freaking out profusely, while everyone else was laughing, Y/n was staring at the clock and this my wonderful readers is where our story begins.
Y/N Pov
'Urg why must those two always get soooo.... what's the word... grabby? No that's not it sexual? That's it! Every time they drink.' I frowned as I look at the clock ticking down and down closer to midnight.
I noticed Yura talking to Beka as they were discussing something making Yura blush a lot. I sighed as I wanted to escape the overly heated room and get the stench of alcohol and guys out of my nose.
As I stood up, I made eye contact with Yura then smiled and left the room. Upon getting outside and in the fresh winter air I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and relaxed slightly.
Yura Pov
I hid my face from Beka as he made me blush for the umteenth time during the evening. Something had caught my eye, it was Y/N who had shifted from their spot by the clock to standing while I think they were looking for a way out of the chaos. They smiled at me then disappeared from the room.
I got curious where they went so I followed where they went. It took me a little bit but I found them outside sitting on a bench staring at the starts and humming to their self. As I got closer I recognized it not as humming but as singing.
I stopped in my tracks to listen to what they were singing...

I was in awe on how well of a singer Y/N was and how much emotion was in the lyrics they sang. I went to take a step closer when my footsteps were louder than wanted and Y/N must have heard them because they stopped singing and looked my way.
Y/N Pov
As I finished singing the parts of the song I remembered I heard footsteps and stopped singing, nervous about how the person would judge me. As I turned around I was shocked that it was Yura and hid behind the hoodie that I was wearing.

As Yura came my way I heard the bench creek as Yura sat down beside me.
"So you sing huh?" Yura looked over at me curiously as he smiled at me hiding in my hoodie. "Come on Y/N you don't need to hide it, I like your singing."
I blushed as I hide more into my hoodie (if that's even possible lol), then I look up at the sky and sighed as a puff of air was visible floating up into the starry sky.
Yura laughed slightly as I stare up at the sky and shook his head. "Never in a million years did I think I'd be spending New Years with Viktor and that pig."
I made a hum in response. I could tell Yura was trying to talk to me but was keeping something hidden from me.
"But what I didn't expect..." Yura smiles at the sky, "Was meeting someone like you Y/N." He looks at me and pulls my hood away from my face. "You made my entire year better Y/N, well at least when I knew you."
I blushed and looked away as I heard clattering from inside, and then a bunch of swearing as everyone fell through the doorway.
"Hey, guys! It's midnight! Look the fireworks are starting!" Viktor yelled as he jumped onto Yuuri who fell from the weight of Viktor.
Yura looked at me with a smirk on his face then up at the sky to watch the fireworks. "You know Y/N it is a tradition that you give the person closest to you a kiss."
I looked at Yura to see him blushing as he moved closer to me. I blushed as I couldn't turn away from Yura's gaze.
As Yura got closer and closer I could feel his breath on my face.
Yura Pov
As I pull Y/N closer to me I close my eyes as I hear my heart beating in my ears, I take a deep breath and...
Y/N and Yura kissed as the fireworks went off and so did everyone else, they rung in the New Year and had fun while sneaking some alcohol when all the older people were passed out. They continued to hang out whenever Y/N came by with JJ or by herself and eventually started dating come the next season and taking gold.
