After a few hours of driving I had finally arrived at Ryders place and crashed on the couch. It was day time now and I looked through Sophies room hoping to find something that could help us find her. Tearing up at every photo with her in it I couldnt stand no more and sat on her bed looking at everything not seeing a single thing apart from drawings and photos. I let out a huge sigh, I hope shes ok. Once I came back to my senses, I realized I was holding a family photo in my hand. It had Ryder holding Natashas swollen stomach while Sophie clung onto Natashas leg and Ali clung onto Ryders leg.

Sophie had her mothers personality but her fathers appearance. She had fair skin with light (e/c) eyes and long (h/c) hair. She wore a simple white dress with her hair down showing off her waves. Ali had her fathers personality and her mothers looks. In the photo she wore a white shirt with blue jean shorts with her hair also down but held back with a flower crown. She also had fair skin, both taking off her mothers skin tone, with (e/c) eyes and short (h/c) hair with a front fringe. Natasha wore a white blouse with blue maternity jeans with a touch of light make up to highlight her hazel eyes. Ryder wore a white shirt and black dress pants with his hair styled to the side to compliment his black rimmed glasses.

where are you Sophie I mumbled as a tear rolled down my cheek and hit the photo.

This just in police have reported the bus transporting the children in the car park behind the old hiking trial, they said the childrens bags were still inside and theyre investigating each bag for evidence. They hope to get a lead for the childrens where-about I looked up and saw my younger brother with his eyes glued to the tv.

His hair was no longer tame, and he had dark bags under his eyes. He wasnt coping, and everyone knew that, he started overworking himself like our mother used to. As he left I heard a soft knock at the door frame and saw Ali hiding behind the wall depressed holding her sisters teddy bear. I got up and walked to her kneeling down to match her height. I cupped her soft cheek frowning as she cried pulling me into a hug. We both stayed there releasing our emotions until we felt better.

Come on sweetie dinner will be ready soon lets go wash our hands I smiled and followed her to the bathroom.

When are you coming back Aunty (y/n)? she looked at me with her innocent (e/c) eyes.

As soon as I can get a yes from work to have a break she frowned and dried her hands

Tell your boss if he doesnt say yes Ill kick him up the butt! I giggled as she skipped off.

I bid my goodbyes to everyone and left buddy to take care of them, I hopped in my car and reversed out of the driveway and headed home, so I could make it home before 9 the next morning. As I drove, I saw a motel in the middle of no where and decided to stop and sleep, so I wasnt driving while I was tired. I checked in and walked into my small room and observed everything. There was a double bed with a small tv, the bathroom had missing tiles with a mirror full of graffiti. There was no running water and some of the light bulbs glass was broken. Everything seemed sketchy especially the broken window, to prevent someone murdering me in my sleep I rolled the tv cabinet over to the window, so it was blocked.

After I finished my anti-murder plan I laid myself on the bed and as expected the two top legs snapped. I rolled my eyes and began to think about the past 48 hours. Sophie went missing, I got a weird text from her, Ali said she saw someone at her window and now Im here in this shit-hole. The more I thought about everything the more I began to tear up. I pulled my phone out to see the message Sophie left me. The text didnt feel right, as if someone else wrote it. Eventually I began to sob until I fell asleep leaving my phone unlocked showing the text.

I couldnt sleep very well especially when I heard a door unlock next door. At first, I thought it was them coming home late, then I heard grunting. I tried to block out the noise until I seen dark red spots and lines seeping through the thin wall. My eyes widened in fear and my breath hitched. I need to get out of here. I looked outside to see if the close was clear and saw someone walking away into the forest. Once they left my sight I swiftly went to my car and left. On my drive home I felt like someone was following me, I grew paranoid. Red and blue lights flashed behind me and I pulled over. I looked at my rear-view mirror and saw nothing there, I sighed and put my car in park. I looked at my roof and began to cry, why the fuck was I suddenly seeing shit, what if the blood wasnt real? I shook my head and put the gear stick into drive and drove off.

I had been driving for a few hours, but I could finally see my motels carpark. After turning off my car I walked in smiling knowing I was finally home and could hopefully get some sleep. I unlocked my door and ran to my bed squeezing the hell out of it. The soft sheets absorbed me as if it was hugging me back. Damn. I really need to find someone. I chuckled a bit and went for a shower. I looked in the mirror and it looked as if I had no eyes and some red substance was drooling down my face. I touched my cheek and felt nothing, so I quickly went for a shower to clear my thoughts.

Sophies message kept replaying in my head. What did it mean?

We are safe, dont alert the police it will only get worse.
