There is a player who suggests changing the Momentum and mmofifa.com Abilities into combat modes. Because these abilities don't fundamentally function like the other ones, and should be in a different section. What do you think?
Simple frame of combat modes
Honestly, Momentum and Revolution Abilities are the only Abilities that affect everything. They not only change your damage outputs, they but also fundamentally change how combat is used. Something has such a widespread effect on how the game play should be separated from common combat abilities.
Therefore, the suggestion is to change the Momentum and Revolution Abilities into combat modes. And there will be three modes: Momentum, Revolution, and Free mode. You would only be able to change Modes out of combat.
The only change to momentum currently is that Basics and Threshholds would be disabled instead of them pulling you out of that mode when they are activated.
Function of combat modes
First of all, even though it is just a semantically difference, it will go a long way towards helping players unfamiliar with EoC conceptualize exactly what is going on and easily toggle between them. Meanwhile, having these options buried in menus as abilities makes things needlessly complicated and difficult to understand.
Question of combat modes
1. All you seem to be arguing for is a semantic difference if they work in the same way. If they're still abilities, it seems to be a pointless change that will only be harder to find and use.
2. They're abilities which affect your ability to use other abilities, and affect your damage output. All abilities do this to a greater or lesser extent: stun abilities, for example, stop you using a few other stuns. Mechanically, they are exceptionally similar: the distinction is when they are used. Jagex already highlights them enough, and doesn't need to do more than that.
3. They deserve anything more than to be where they are, because they function just fine right now.
Well, I would have to say this is really a wonderful idea. Just because it's only semantic doesn't mean it's not important. They're not abilities like the rest of<a>Maplestory Mesos</a><br><br>. And we just hope there will be more fun in the game!
