Darci ran out of the library in a panic and i ran right after her, she ran into the street and a truck was coming her way. *DARCI NO!!!!!* i screamed as i ran after her. I shoved her out of the way and i fell.....

Darci's POV
Next thing i knew...i got up and turned around and lucas was laying in the middle of the street, *LUCAS!!!!!!!!!* I screamed at the top of my lungs as i cried he wasnt breathing and someone had seen the whole thing as a ambulance headed towards us. *lucas please dont leave me* i sobbed quietly holding onto him with my dear life. As the ambulance took him away i hugged my grandma crying my eyes out to the point where my head was aching, we followed them to the hospital and lucas was immediately rushed into surgery was terrified i lost my best friend. A few hours passed by, a doctor came looking for us, thankfully god answered my prayers and Lucas was gonna be okay, lucas wanted to see me, just me.

I realized something though, i was in love with him....he risked his life for me and almost died saving me. I was so terrified i had lost him, and i felt so horrible because i felt like it was my fault that he was in pain. As i walked down the hall to his room, i almost bursted into tears seeing him they way he was. He just looked so lifeless and helpless i walked up to the bed he looked up at me and smile, *are you okay angel?* he asked me. I chuckled a bit as if he were crazy *what are you  talking about am i okay, of  course im okay, are you okay?*  i replied he laughed and said *ill be okay angel, dont worry about me*  i looked at him in confusion *why did you risk your life for me?*  i asked him. He sat in silence for a moment then responded with *because yours is more important than mine...and....i love you angel....*
