“Are you sure you don’t want to change the dare?” Jungkook asked you nervously, holding a glass of water in his hands, as you pushed him towards the elevator. “Cause honestly, it’d be logical for you to. If it’s some high-status tycoon that walks out, we’d be ruined fore-“
“Shut up and do the dare.”
Jungkook sighed. He stopped resisting, and let you drag him to the lobby. Both of you waited in silence, looking intently at the electronic display for a sign of ascent. Finally, the 0 turned into 1, then 2, then 3…
You were on the top floor of the Bright Hotel, owned by your parents.
The building had 54 floors.
It was a long way up.
As he waited, Jungkook started to get the heebie-jeebies again. “Listen-“
“I’m sure it won’t be the CEO of some company, so just relax. Why would they come this late? The party is already well underway. Look,” you gestured without looking towards the general direction of the venue. Two extremely drunk individuals were being escorted out by Security. “Everybody is enjoying themselves.”
“Uh… right.”
You looked back at the display, and saw that the numbers were nearing 50. You wordlessly motioned to Jungkook towards the doors, so he could mentally prepare himself.
49…
50…
51…
52…
53…
Splash.
Cue the moment of dread as you both looked at the CEO of Yang Industries, in all his glory, with his trademark frown etched onto his face. <so not expected tho> <we’re so bad at suspense>
Also an extremely, sopping wet suit.
Let’s just say that ‘dashi run run run’ would have been great bgm for this moment.

“I think- I think we lost him,” Jungkook said tentatively, his voice hoarse from all the hardcore parkour you both had pulled just now. Overall, though, his condition was okay. Sure, he’d broken a little sweat, but you weren’t complaining about that.
Meanwhile you were just casually dying on the floor.
Noticing your sprawled-across-the-floor-panting-like-a-dog self, Jungkook laughed at your state. “You were the one who dared me. You so deserve this.”
You shot him a glare.
When you finally got your breathing back to normal, with advice from Jungkook to ‘breathe deeply’, you sat up, magically as bubbly and energetic as you were before, and said, “K, now your turn to ask me.”
Jungkook squinted at you weirdly to figure out if you were being serious. When he realized that you were, he let out a disbelieving laugh. “You do know how lucky we are to have escaped Yang CEO, right?”
“Yes,” you said without hesitation. “I also know that when luck is on your side, you make use of it, and don’t just sit around being grateful to Lady Luck for choosing you. That’s boring,” you paused to let your words sink in. “And you don’t seem very boring to me. So, again, it’s your turn to ask me.”
Jungkook scoffed. “Ask you? Well, I do have a question to ask you; who are you? Is this some kind of prank? Why are you randomly playing Truth or Dare with a stranger at a business party? Nobody does that,” He had started to get a little frustrated, his slightly pink tinted face exposing the blood rushing to his face.
“Well, everybody isn’t the same!” You snapped at him, offended at his allegations of your game being a prank. “And as for whom I am, you’ll only find out after you’ve finished playing the game.”
Jungkook sighed. “You know what? I did not sign up for this. I’m going back…” He trailed off, as he started walking towards the elevator.
“Wait! You can’t go back!”
But he ignored you, not even looking back as he called the lift.
“CEO Yang would be on a lookout for people in our clothes – you’d get caught immediately.”
Jungkook paused.
Closed his eyes.
Sighed.
“You’re very persuasive, aren’t you?”
