Nana's POV
There it was. The most annoying thing in the entire universe. My alarm clock. I slowly opened my eyes, still not fully conscious. It was 6:30 and I still had to take a shower. Man, maybe I should start taking them the night before. Ten minutes is not enough time for a girl.
As soon as I was done, I went into the room across from mine to make sure Evanie was up. She wasn't, of course. We had 30 minutes before we needed to be out of the house if we wanted to catch the bus on time. "Hey! Wake up sleeping beauty, you're not making me late on the first day." I said as I pulled the blinds opened. She groaned from the sudden burst of sunlight. I let out a small laugh, she really wasn't a morning person.
Once my hair was dry, I put on some dark blue jeans that were actually a lot looser than they looked. A light pink button up shirt with a white collar and my most treasured possession, my black hooded cardigan. Evanie was wearing a blue short sleeved shirt tucked into black high-waisted pants and her black converse. She always just lets her hair down and didn't really have to do anything with it. It was naturally straight, smooth, AND long. I was really envious of that. My hair was shoulder length, dark brown and framed around my face but it was normally curly and I honestly wish it wasn't but I mean, we can't all have what we want.
As soon as we had gotten our things and were ready to go, we left the house and started walking to the bus stop. Everyone took the regular school buses but they were always so crowded. I didn't drive, not because I couldn't but because I just didn't like driving. We took the public buses everyday because they were less crowded in the morning and they were way faster.
"God, I really don't want to go." Evanie mumbled. She's only half way done with high school and she was already complaining about it. Goodness, by the time she's a senior, she's going to realize she's got a whole 4 more years of college, at least.
"Enough of that~ I know you hate it but try to be at least a little enthusiastic. You were the one that wanted to move here. And who knows, maybe you'll make some friends that are actually your age." I laughed slightly at the thought of her hanging out with other 15 year olds. She'd always been with me so I guess, in my opinion, she was just a little more mature than others that were her age. Of course that was a good thing but I couldn't help but think she was missing out.

We arrived at the gates to the high school and headed to the office. We got there early, thankfully. The first day was always rough. Everyone had to pick up their schedules at the front office on the first day. That meant there would be a few hundred teenagers pushing their way to the front desks and I really didn't want to be a part of that. Crowded areas are not my forte.
We got our schedules and, like always, compared them to see each other's classes. We were walking through the hall down to my first period when we turned the corner and I hit something or.. someone?
I nearly fell but I before I hit the ground I felt a pair of arms tightly wrapped around me. I looked up to see who I'd definitely be needing to apologize to but as soon as my eyes met his, it felt like.. like I couldn't function correctly.
"Are you alright?" His voice was low and seemed like it resonated all around me. He had headphones on but as he lifted me back to my feet, he slowly lowered them to rest on his shoulders. I had to look up to see his face, he was very tall, or at least a lot taller than I was. His hair was a deep red color that looked too perfect to be natural. It curled slightly here and there and the front reached a little above his eyes. He looked asian but at the same time he didn't? Maybe it was the unusual hair color or the fact that his eyes were blue but I was pretty sure he wasn't wearing contacts. I felt a jab in my side from Evanie and then I realized I had been staring at him for what seemed like forever. I could feel my cheeks start to heat up and I tried to look everywhere that wasn't him.
"Are you.. okay?" His voice went right through me again.
"Ah! Y-yeah.. I'm really sorry about that.." My voice trailed off and I could feel my eyes being glued to the floor. Looking at him was damn near impossible at this point. I can't believe I just stared at him like that for god knows how long.
"Oh, okay. That's good." I hear him say, though I wasn't exactly paying attention. My mind was a complete mess. "You should try to be more careful." He said as he put his headphones back on and started walking towards the office.
