An Agreement

The Sanctuary 2, Thanos' warship, has been traveling throughout the universe for millennium in search for the Infinity Stones. As Thanos himself sits on his throne, evaluating plans to continue the search, Ebony Maw appears and talks to the Mad Titan.

Ebony Maw: Almighty Thanos. We've been traveling throughout the cosmos for quite some time. If I may ask, what is the purpose again?

Thanos: I don't need to explain our intentions Maw. You should know of them.

Ebony Maw: Yes, but...

Corvus Glaive: Thanos. We have an unidentified spacecraft en route, advancing right on our position.

Thanos gets up from his chair, heading towards the main deck. Out of the cockpit, Thanos sees the massive ship.

Thanos: Interesting design. You have perceived the vessel as non-hostile?

Corvus Glaive: No.

Thanos: (gazes at spacecraft) Prepare to board.

Corvus with a sinister grin, then tells off some Chitauri soldiers to board the unidentified ship with Proxima Midnight. Thanos heads to the launch bay along with Maw and Cull Obsidian.

Ebony Maw: So who do you think it is Almighty, that operates that ship?

Thanos: No clue. The ship's design is advanced but doesn't seem to have many armaments. Though I've seen many of this universe's races, I can't quite recognize that aircraft.

Ebony Maw: Possibly the Kree?

Thanos: Definitely not. (Cull Obsidian acknowledges something to Thanos in an alien language) If they prove to be dangerous then we will "educate" them on our abilities.

They make it to the bay where the other ship's opening can be seen. As the ship continues its approach, it then deploys anchors that attached to the Sanctuary 2 and drags it forward.

Corvus Glaive: Prepare for combat!

Thanos: No.

Corvus Glaive: What? But...

Thanos: They're too close, we could risk damaging our own ship. Get ready to be boarded, I want confirmation on who decided to latch onto my ship.

Thanos would have a big surprise though, as the ship has openings in which they could see large robotic beings walking towards them along with some wolf-like creatures. As Thanos bravely walks over to the machines with his "children" and Chitauri soldiers close behind, a robot jumps off the ship. This one was significantly larger then his peers and immediately walks over to Thanos, singling him out above the rest.

Thanos: Who are you?

???: I think the correct question, is who are you?

Thanos: Thanos.

???: Name's Lockdown.

Thanos: What brings you to our quarters, Lockdown?

Lockdown: Apologies for the anchors, but it was only insurance that you weren't gonna try to blow us up from a distance.

Thanos: We could've easily done that. You did anchor us for a reason, no?

Lockdown: Of course, everything's for a reason. I'm in search of an old buyer who's last life signatures was here. (shows a hologram that appears above his hand)

Thanos: Earth.

Lockdown: Good, you know of it.

Thanos: If you've got the coordinates, why do you need our help?

Lockdown: Well as you can see, I'm not of your world and although I have these coordinates, it doesn't hurt to be cautious. I've been traveling for awhile and I've perceived that your world has many similarities but major differences to mine, so my coordinates here might not be completely accurate. Finding a source from the natural inhabitants was the only logical thing to do and I happen to run into you. So, do we have an accord?

Before Thanos could comply, two figures come out of the ship. They were very different from the robots, in fact they weren't robots at all, one was way smaller with a mouse like appearance, the other was a female with very pale skin and witch-like attire. She's bold enough to walk over to Lockdown, who's gigantic compared to her and says...

???: Wait, so that's what you're detour was? A planet?

Lockdown: Oh great.

Thanos: Who's this? (as Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight and some Chitauri soldiers ready their weapons)

Arfoire: My name is Arfoire. The True Goddess of Gamindustri and the Deity of Sin.

Awkward silence.

Warechu: Basically, she's an old hag who flipped her crazy switch too many times. My name's Warechu by the way.

Arfoire: (grunts) If they don't care about who I am, then they sure as hell aren't going to care about who you are, rat.

Thanos: Stand down. (Proxima Midnight advices the others to lower their weapons, which they do) Who exactly are they?

Lockdown: Stowaways. Who, unfortunately appeared in my ship unannounced.

Arfoire: Luckily you're a very easy.... creature to persuade.

Lockdown: It won't be that easy the next time we meet. Anyways, what do you say?

Thanos: If we do help you, what's in it for me and my army?

Lockdown: I'll answer that question with a question. What is it you most desire? I need to finish a bargain I've made during the beginnings of his war, but what is it that YOU so passionately want in your world?

Thanos: (he begins to ponder) Give me a moment.

Lockdown: Of course.

Warechu: Yeah, excuse the old hag, she's a little off her knocker.

Arfoire: Rat. I swear... if you don't stop calling me an old hag... I'm going to feed you to those robot wolves!

Lockdown: I should've left you two on that planet. Why did I let you tag along?

Ebony Maw: We could send him to find the stones hidden on Earth.

Thanos: As much as it would be convenient for us, I do not trust him with the knowledge of the Infinity Stones. We will retrieve them at our own pace and besides, they should have some time to enjoy themselves before the reckoning. (to Lockdown) What I sought won't be able to reach you, but I will give you the coordinates to this Earth. My two finest will escort you along the way. (both Maw and Cull Obsidian walk up)

Lockdown: Then we come to a mutual understanding. It's settled then, a temporary compromise! (his crew celebrates in their Cybertronian speech)

Thanos: So who exactly is your buyer?

Lockdown: Are you trying to be in my business?

Thanos: On the contrary, I just would like to know what person is so important that you would want to bring them back.

Lockdown: Who he is, would be none of your concern, just know that I may have to return here for a little experiment.

Thanos: (he makes a vexed expression but reluctantly agrees on these terms) By the way, when you arrive on Earth, you'll meet an altercation...

Lockdown: I care not what inhabits this Earth. All I need, is my buyer's remains. (Lockdown walks away)

Ebony Maw: Thanos, what about the stones on Earth?

Thanos: I must first acquire the stone on Xandar, the others will temporarily stay on Earth. If you come across them, do not hesitate to acquire them.

Maw bows his head and turns around, heading towards an entrance into Lockdown's ship followed by Cull Obsidian. Along with Arfoire and Warechu, who are arguing up a storm.

Proxima Midnight: You don't want me and Corvus to follow?

Thanos: No. Whether he likes it or not, Lockdown needs those two in order to get to Earth. For now, we must start my conquest.
