On this beautiful afternoon, the maths class just wouldn't become interesting to you, no matter how much you tried to focus on it.

You were sitting at your desk, stealing glances at Jungkook every few seconds while Minho and Elise – still unsure about what happened – stole glances at the two of you, which you were completely unaware of, too deep in your thoughts to even realize the teacher stood in front of your desk, trying to get you to the board.

"Ekhm."

You blinked and looked up. The man stared down at you, raising his eyebrows expectantly.

"You haven't slept well, miss? You probably should do that more often. But at home, not during my class" the elderly man noticed with a smirk. It was the kind of smirk that said you're lucky I like you, but don't test my patience.

"A-ah, s-sorry" you mumbled and got up, straight to the board.

The problem in front of you looked like an arch-enemy you'd never ever want to stand against in your entire life. Yet here you were, staring at it, trying not to think about the fact that you had much more urgent problem on your mind, one that couldn't be solved so quickly.

Or maybe it could be if you didn't have to suddenly stop your friendly meet-up the very moment Jungkook realized you have to go back to school. The four of you promised to meet in the evening so that you could continue the conversation.

At this point, as much as you wanted to know what's it all about, you started to feel like you weren't exactly the right person to get mixed up in such matters. What if they all belonged to some kind of sect? What if they got Jungkook in it too?! Your thoughts raced in panic.

"[F/n]."

Oh, right. Math.

"Uhm... Sorry, sir, I really have no idea how to..."

"Can I help her?"

You turned around. A face of another student popped out from the crowd and the teacher looked in his direction.

"I'd say yes" the teacher spoke "but with your grades, Hoseok, go and help yourself first."

You couldn't help but snort at the remark. The boy didn't look offended, just smiled sheepishly, trying to cover the fact that – precisely – his attempt to help wouldn't be as helpful as he'd like to, because you were more than sure he had no idea how to solve this problem either.

You were thankful for the nice gesture, though.

"[F/n], think. I know you can solve it, just focus."

And so you did.

"I hate maths" was the first thing that escaped your mouth the very moment the four of you left the class. "I love Mr Blackbourne. But I hate maths."

Jungkook slowly nodded his head, clearly understanding what you meant. Everyone liked the teacher because of his attitude – he managed to keep all his students in check without being unpleasantly rigid. It was not his fault that he got to teach a subject everyone hated.

Well, maybe not everyone. Minho loved maths. But Minho was not exactly normal.

Albeit in comparison to the people you met today, Minho seemed actually pretty average.

"We're supposed to meet in the evening. Want me to pick you up?" Jungkook spoke just as you were about to part your ways. The classes already ended and only a small part of the way back home you were walking together.

"I don't even know if I will go..." you admitted. "I mean, no offence to your uncle, but that Taehyung guy is creepy as hell" you noticed and Jungkook chuckled, placing hands on your shoulders and looking straight into your eyes.
