◈Chapter 1 ⌑ Going to the Academy◈

' I hate it when Hokage~baka forces us to socialize with hoomans! ' I telepathically said in a childish manner to my twin brother, Fate, pouting with my arms crossed as we walk through the busy streets of Konoha, getting confused look from the villagers. It's probably because we stay inside too much that no one knows we're even here, except hokage~baka and almost all Jōnins.

' I know, Faith— ' Fate said, telepathically, in his usual monotone voice, still looking straight forward, keeping a straight face, as we walk towards the academy, '—we have no choice but to listen, unless you wish for him to separate us from each other.. '

I didn't know what to say back to him, so I kept walking towards the Academy, not even bothering on saying a single word.

I immediately looked at the surroundings and observed every detail carefully when we reached our destination while walking inside, peacefully. As we walked, it was like everything went slow, as if it was in slow-motion, in my vision as I observe every detail of the Academy. I took a mental note to myself about the surroundings, from the colors to the measurements of every object we come across the hall way while walking towards Iruka~Baka's classroom.

We both paused in front of the baka's door. I lift my hand up and hovered it a couple inches from the doorknob. My heart was pounding, begging to jump out of my chest, my whole body went from it's normal state into a weaker state, and my head went wild, thinking about the negative possibilities that can happen. Fate seemed to have noticed the condition I was in. He frowned and held the hand I was holding up the door, pulled it down to my side and squeezed it tight, as if trying to assure me.

' It's going to be fine, imouto ' he said, telepathically, in a soft and caring voice as his he squeezed my hand tighter.

I wasn't completely convinced that it was going to be fine. I mean, there is multiple possibilities that can happen! Like; someone could take me away from Fate; someone could try and socialize with us; someone could try and separate us from each other; someone cou—

I suddenly felt strong arms around my waist, it pulled me into a tight hug. I then felt something trying to burry it self into my back.

' Like I said, imouto; everything is going to be fine.... ' Fate said telepathically as his hug tightens and his face deepens into my back.

All my negative thoughts had suddenly vanished at his words. I felt Fate's arms leaving me, so I turned around to see him kneeling down on one knee with his hands resting on his other knee. I wrapped my arms around his head and squeezed it as tight as I can. I felt his body heat rise as it went through the clothing and touched my chest.

I had a weird habit on squeezing Fate when I get nervous when we were both young and still attended to academy in another village. I thought that the habit of squeezing him would disappear because we locked our selves inside our rooms in the dark. Which means we have not socialized with anyone else other than each other, ever since our parents died...
I released him and held my hands behind my back. I gave him a close-eyed smile which I knew would make his face red. I don't know the science behind people's face turning red when I smile at them, but I do know that they turn red when people are sick or when they're crying, but Fate isn't crying nor sick. Every time I ask him about it, he would change the subject and wouldn't tell me.

' Well...let's go inside and see what that Baka has for us ' Fate said through telepathy as the happiness in his voice convinced me to go inside. He gave me the same closed eyed smile I had given him, which I accepted greatly.

I looked up at Fate as he stood up from his kneeling position. He extended his hand in front of me for me to grab. Which I gladly did.

' Faith... ' Fate said, telepathically, in a serious tone, looking down at me.
' Yeah? ' I answered as I look back at him.
' Remember the promise we made? ' he asked with a bit of worry in his voice.
' I would never forget the promise we both made— ' I said giving him a small smile to assure him that I would never forget our promise.

' Always be together no matter what, trust nobody else but each other '
