Y/n Rose is the twin brother of Summer Rose, being the same age as her. Bottom line, they're polar opposites. I.e Summer has a cape, Y/n has none. She has silver eyes, his are green.
He's dating Raven Branwen, but she's fucking his best friend, Taiyang, behind his back.
After Summer seemingly dies on a mission, Raven starts to bully and torment Y/n for no reason, the latter being defended by Qrow, who is almost like a brother to him. It is prior to her so-called 'death', Y/n was burdened with Summer's responsibility as a parent, towards his nieces, Ruby and Yang.
Suddenly, Y/n disappears. The reason? Unknown. Qrow goes to find him, only to find a severed arm, and bloodstained eyeball, and a few Grimm feasting on some torn muscle tissue.
Assuming the worst, Qrow mourns his friend's death, to then go into a deep depression, and so drinks to forget, but he still remembers.
In actuality, Y/n survived, but was clinging onto his life by a thread. Hadn't it been for Atlesian officials who discovered him, he would have died not long after.
They took him back to Atlas, where they rebuilt him, making him harder, better, faster and stronger.
