I get up for school and I am dreading it. I know its the middle of the year and should be used to it, but i'm just not. I get out of bed and go straight to the bathroom to take my shower. I get out of the shower and clean the now fog-filled mirror to see my reflection. I point out my every flaw like I normally do every morning. I dry myself off and wrap the the towel around my waist and go to my room. I put on my socks and boxers than i decide to wear some blak skinny jeans, a Black Veil Brides shirt and my worn out converse sneakers.
I grab my backpack on my way out of my room. I go downstairs into the kitchen and grab a brown strawberry pop-tart and eat it. I go out to the bus stop and put my headphones in and wait for the bus. I decide on the song KIng For A Day by Pierce The Veil ft. Kellin Quinn. A little more than halfway through the song, my bus arrives and I enter the bus still listening to music. I take my usual seat next to Melissa. I take out my headphones and we start talking.
The ride to school is pretty much uneventful. I get off of the bus and see Tom. Oh great. I just wait for Melissa outsie of the bus. When she gets off of it, we start walking into school, trying to avoid Tom. As we pass him, his friend Dan says, " Hey look its that emo faggot." I decide to not listen to my mind and instead listen to my instincts and they tell me to turn around and punch Dan in the face, and thats exactly what I do, I turn around and punch him square in the face. I just turn around and walk away with Melissa.
I'm sitting in my second period, which is math. I hear the phone ring and I know it's for me. After a minute of my teacher being on the phone, she comes up to me and says, "Principal Young would like to see you in his office." I get up and walk out of the room. I know exactly what this is about. Its about me punching Dan. I enter the office and the secratary says,"please take a seat, Priciaple Young will be with you shortly." I just sit and don't respond. I'm alittle nervous but not that much.
"Kris, can you come here?" I hear Prinaple Young say from his office. I ask if he wants the door closed and he said it doesn't matter. I shut it. I take a seat in front of his desk. "Obviously, you and I both know why you are here." I nod in agreement. "You assualted another student this morning. Dan Pope. The nurse told me its nothing but a mild bruise." "Exactly whats the story from Dan?" I ask. He replies with, "Mr. Pope told me that you came up to him this morning and insulted him then you decided to throw a punch at him." I say," That is such a lie! I was walking with Melissa Stern into the school and as I walked by he said, 'Oh look its the emo faggot' so i punched him, I was just standing up for myself. Theres nothing wrong with that."
"I don't know if I believe you, but its kind of hard not to since you've never caused any trouble before, having perfect grades and attendace. I'll let you off the hook this time, but next time I'll give you 1 weeks detention with me in my office directly after school. Am I understood?" I nod. "Good. Now get back to class, don't want to leave Mrs. Norris waiting."
