The Night Before

Chapter 1: The Dream

It's a crisp winter night... New years eve 2018 and Kara and Lena are watching the fireworks from Lena's balcony in her office. Kara is leaning against Lena and has her head buried into Lena's chest as they sit silently. Suddenly Kara sits up grabs Lena's hand and fly's up when Lena asks what is happening Kara just leans in and softly kisses her just as they hear the whole city below scream happy new year!

Lena pulls away and says"Happy new year babe. This kid is going to have everything! "

Kara then shoots up from her bed and checks her phone the date reads 12/30/18 and she seems so disappointed to find that she was only dreaming. Suddenly there is a knock at the door of her apartment and she uses her x-ray vision to see who was there.

"Come in! " Kara yells as she uses her super speed to get dressed.

"Hey sis I brought doughnuts and sticky buns for you. " Alex says aware of her little sisters super hearing.

"Doughnuts and sticky buns are my most favorite things in the universe and yes I mean that literally. " Says Kara as she takes her seat on the couch.

"Hey Alex is it normal for you to literally dream about someone but like not as them being there but as them like being with you? " Asks Kara as she is still unaware of her sister and girlfriend Sam having a bet on when Kara and Lena are going to finally get together.

"Is this about a certain Luthor? Maybe the good one? " Alex loved to see the way Kara lit up at the mention of the youngest Luthors name. Kara has had a crush on Lena ever since she met her at a science fair when her and Kara were in high school. Lena went to National City high school and Kara went to Midvale High.

"What makes you say that... " Kara trails off she knew her sister could tell just as she feels her cheeks get slightly warmer than usual.

"No reason just the fact that you never stop talking about her... unless she is within earshot. " Alex said that last part kind of quiet forgetting Kara has super hearing but as she realised this she feels a pillow hit her in the face.

"Oh right in the face! " Kara yells, "Hey sis you know I love you but I have got to go to CatCo Ms. Grant is going to throw a phone at me if I'm late again need a lift? " Kara will sometimes fly her sister to the DEO as that is where her and Alex work to capture rouge aliens and occasionally save the world.

"Always you know how much I love to fly with you just as long as we stop at Noonans on the way." Alex said as she grabbed her backpack and headed over to Kara's balcony. Just like that the two hero's were gone.

AN: So this is my first Chapter I don't really know how often I will be updating but please leave comments I will try to read them all but Im not sure if I will. Also comment if you have any ideas as this will not be the only fanfic I will be writing just give me a show on Netflix or Hulu and I will watch and see what I can do as long as I can binge the whole thing.
