The Night Before

Chapter 17

Kara could feel the anger coursing through her veins. All she wanted to do was break something. She looks around the room for something to unleash her anger out on then settles for the wall. She very slowly climbs out of bed and walks over to the concrete wall across from her bed.

She punches the wall as hard as she can only to hear a loud crack and then drop to the floor screaming in pain. She can tell she just broke her hand but she doesn't understand how. Suddenly the door flies open to reveal Lena running to her side.

"Kara! Kara, honey, are you ok, what happened? " Lena asks as she pulls Kara closer to her body.

"I don't really know. I was so angry and I figured I would let it out by punching the wall but I hit it and the only thing that broke was my hand. " Kara said while pulling Lena impossibly closer.

"Oh Kar, how is this possible? The wall is fine and you have is broken? You literally have superpowers. " Lena said confused.

"I don't know Lee. Can you get Alex in here please? I need her to wrap my hand and see where my powers went. " Kara said standing up.

"Of course, anything else? Eliza is here too. And Sam, Ruby, Maggie, Winn, J'onn, James, Mon-El, Imra, and Clarke and Lois. They all came as soon as they heard what happened and have been here everyday since. " Lena said while taking Kara's hand in her own.

"Just tell them if they want they can come see me, thank you Lena, I love you. " Kara says with tears in her eyes.

"I love you too Kar, I will go get them. " Lena leans down and kisses Kara's head then leaves the room.

When Lena finds Eliza, Sam, Ruby, Alex, J'onn, Winn, Maggie, James, Clarke, and Lois they were all in the kitchen drinking, even though alcohol had no affect on the Kryptonians, Daxamite, and Titan they still enjoyed the comforting warmth of the liquor. Ruby was drinking soda. Lena told them Kara wanted to see them and explained to Alex about her hand.

They all flooded into the room to find Kara laying on her bed and rushed over to say hi to her. They didn't go too fast as to overwhelm the Kryptonian. Once they all got their turn they asked the one question no one knew the answer to. Where did her powers go?
