Coming Back

Today they will all be going home once again to see there loved one's. Its been for a while now the whole students of high school have been having there mid-term text ,to most of the srudents it sounds to be a horrible time but they are always happy whenever its over because they will soon be going home.Its a minute pass four o'clock the regulatory prefect looks at his wristwatch its time for the final bell. He goes to the school bell tackle tomb and rings the bell,they junior students run out from there classes with a lot of excitement and enthusiasim, they are going to see there home. The chapel prefect was the first person to arrive at the assembly ground while waiting for other students to arrive before the last prayers will be made for the day.
He was about to submit his answer scripts when a junior student takes an excuse from the invigilator and walks straight to him "senior,please the principal said that i should call you". His writing ink stinks to his hand, furious and mind blowing thought's run through him but he cant help himself. He submits his answer script before leaving the classroom for the principals office. He knocks at his door, ready to accept his faith,he opens the door but is been greeted by his Mum. Mrs. Beatrice his mother happens to be a woman endowed with great qualities,shes fair in complexion, average in height thou slim but she's the type of woman that every man will like to be with but not regarding her mannerisms.She thanks the principal and then moves out with his son David.
Most of the students are now leaving the school gate while some are still waiting for there parents to come and pick them.
He walks back to his classroom to get his books to his mothers G-wagon black tinted car,packing his books into his box with his head bent down Sharon taps his shoulder, he turns immediately and there is someone infront of him,Sharon " you really amazed me, for long i have been standing at your front while u were packing your books but you didnt even care to look up but am sorry if my tap on your shoulder made your heart skip a little bit, i didnt mean to do that". David was rather surprised, but apologized to her " am not angry at all, i came here to pack my books my mums waiting for me at the visistors quarter's ". Sharon " ok, but please am really sorry for what happened, i sincerely believe that you will be passing a hard time now, i heard of your sisters death, please am sorry" She tries kneeling down but he raises her up to her feet. He didn't actually know who told this girl about her sisters death, "it's ok, everything gonna be alright"
Sharon" but i hope i won't be offended, i will be coming to your house for the burial". He can't stop her,its her classmate,shes got to be there "ok i don't think that's going to be a problem".She then thanks him, walking out of the classroom he calls her back" but please do remeber to give me a phone call whenever you are coming ". Still facing the exit diretion she replies him " ok".
He entters the car and the mum helps him In closing the door. The gate man opens the school gate for them ,he hands over the car card to him which he takes from him and then makes some notes on his sixty leaves exercise book. She speeds off before there will be any traffic jam, its widely believed that around six in the evening there's bound to be a traffic jam which normally do take hours before it subsidizes.
Adekunle opens the gate for them to drive in. He takes out his luggages from the car ,walking to his bed room he greets his dad Mr.phillip who happens to be an auditor to one of the prominent newspaper's in town. "Daddy good afternoon", he replies him " son welcome back home"
He moves into his bed room everything is as he have left it before going back to school, he looks at his pillow case there lies a letter written by his sister to come and pick him up once his back from school.Her sister always keeps this letter for him whenever its remaining a week for him to come back home. He looks at the mirrow his eye is socked again, he beckons to himself "no, not this time " but its already late he cant stop it. He hears his mother's voice from the dinning room "darling come and eat food is ready" He wipes his eyes with his school uniform and then rushes to the dinning room to join his parent's . His dad "son it seems you are really enjoying this meal , i bet you are not chewing that stuff before swallowing it" They all laugh.
He picks his phone to see whose calling him " Hello, Sharon how are you, am back at home now". Mum and Dad exchange mysterious glances. Sharon " ok i will have to call you back later, thank you"
But he couldnt understand the look at his parent's face when he mentioned Sharon's name, maybe the new her from some were. He leaves the dining. Mum and Dad knows that somethings are really gonna get bad in know distant time
Sharon happens to be Davids sister, but they will never tell him how it all happened.
