removed from chapter 9

levi explaining why he agreed to marry her. at this point, i was going to make levi a little drunk but still sober but it didn't make sense or fit in with the story so it was taken out. this takes place when the day after the halloween party, when fallon rushes back to lucas's place and asks all those questions to levi.

"This is long and a little bit complicated but bear with me. I had a little bit to drink so that's why I agreed. However, after a couple of beers, even though I get swayed easily, I am technically sober. I asked Josh for his mum's divorce lawyer." I glared at him. "I didn't say why and he didn't ask. Her lawyer told me that the easiest thing was to say I was sober. It doesn't complicate things or make it sound like I'm lying. Does that make sense?"

"Yes. You drink two beers. You become easily persuaded but you're still sober." He nodded. I sat down on the on the armchair next to the sofa and saw Lucas move to sit down next to Levi. He looked interested in what was happening and he wasn't even trying to hide it. "Next question: where did the rings come from?"    

fallon was originally going to break up with miles earlier in the book. i can't really remember the whole backstory to this.

"Earth to Fallon." I looked up from the table to see Miles staring at me. "Are you okay? You've been quiet for a long time." Miles and I were sitting in the school library, skipping lessons, since neither of us could be bothered to actually do any learning.

"I'm fine. What were you saying?"

"I was saying, that I'm taking you out to-"

"I don't want to do this anymore." I cut him off. He looked confused.

"Do what?"

"Whatever we're doing. The whole 'second chance relationship' thing."
