FINAL BATTLE!

"Georgie," Bill said, his voice thick with a tempest of emotions. Bill had found Georgie, the little boy he had been looking for since November. His brother. The guilt he felt for not going outside, for not being there to protect him, ate the Denbrough boy alive. If he hadn't pushed his brother away, maybe he wouldn't have gone missing for months.

"What took you so long?" The little boy asked, his eyes welled up with sadness.

"I was looking for you this whole time," Bill promised, biting back painful, unshed tears.

"I couldn't find my way outta here. He said l could have my boat back, Billy." The group formed behind Bill, just watching with bated breath. Veronica and Eddie are missing.

"Was she fast?" Bill asked, trying to force a small chuckle. Eddie and Veronica snuck up behind the group, as soon as they saw the kid, their grins melted off their faces like butter on a hot day.

"I couldn't keep up with it," Georgie explained. The air was stiff; something wasn't right. Veronica could feel it in her gut, everyone could feel it. It felt like the clown, its devilish magic surrounding Georgie in a cloud.

"She' Georgie. They call boats, She." Bill swallowed the lump in his throat, a startling realization coming to him: this was not his brother. Georgie would have known that fact.

"Take me home, Billy. I wanna go home. I miss you. I wanna be with Mom and Dad." The copy of the little boy cried. It was so convincing Veronica was having a hard time not believing it herself. She could not even imagine how Bill was feeling. All the heartbreak, the dread, the last shred of hope hanging around his neck like a noose.

"I want more than anything for you to be home With Mom and Dad. I miss you so much." He held the bolt gun to Georgie's forehead, his fingers trembling over the trigger.

"I love you, Billy."

"I love you too, But you're not Georgie."

Veronica's breath hitched in her throat as Bill pulled the trigger, shooting Georgie in the head. The world fell silent. Those couple of seconds was like someone had placed a lid on a burning candle, snuffing all the oxygen out of the air. They all watched with bated breath as the little boy fell to the ground with a soft thud. Suddenly, Georgie started making seizure-like movements. Shaking side to side and back and forth. Legs and arms popped out of Georgie's tiny limbs, creating a giant. His face paled, and orange hair puffed out of his hairline. He was becoming the clown. The same clown that just almost killed her and Bev. Veronica gripped Eddie's hand tightly, terror electrified every pore of her body.

"Kill him now!" She shouted, the words slipping out before she could stop them. Nobody said anything as it continued to grow. Veronica shouted again, this time the others joining her. A chorus of cries to kill the monster flooded the chamber. Bill stood, holding the bolt gun out unsurely. He wasn't going to shoot it. Veronica swallowed, her eyes darting between the gun and the clown.

"Hey, it's not loaded!" Mike shouted, coming to a realization. His cries were drown out by the others.

"Bill, watch out!" Veronica screamed as the clown stood up, reaching out for the boy.

"Leave him alone!" Bev said, lunging forward.

"Beverly, no!" Stan yelled as Pennywise came at the three of them. Mike ducked as the clown swung one of his massive arms around.

"Mike!" Someone shouted. Everything was a big cluster fuck. Pure chaos. Veronica had no clue what was happening, but at that moment, she realized Bill had been taken by Pennywise.

"No, let him go!" Bev cried.

"Yeah, Let him go." Veronica scowled at the Clown.

"No. I'll take him. I'll take all of you. And I'll feast on your flesh as I feed on your fear... Or you'll just leave us be I'm taking him, only him. And then I'll have my long rest, and you will all live to grow old and drive and lead happy lives until old age takes you back to the weeds." Veronica's scowl deepened, her jaw clenched.

"Leave... I'm the one who dragged you all into this I'm s-s-s-s-, I'm s-s-sorry." Bill stuttered as tears fell down his cheeks.

"S-s-s-s-sorry." The clown mimicked, chuckling. Veronica could feel her cheeks heat up with anger. Everyone was pissed at the clown.

"Go!"Bill shouted out, not wanting his friends to be in danger.

"Guys, we can't," Bev told everyone. Veronica's heart beat rapidly in her chest. Bev was right. Without Bill the group wasn't whole. Without Bill, her and Bev would be dead.

"Sorry, Bill. I told you. I fucking told you I don't want to die... It's your fault. You punched me in the face, you made me walk through shitty water, you brought me to a fucking crackhead-house." Veronica was unsure of what Richie was doing. It was not like him to leave his friends behind. But when Veronica saw him pick up the baseball bat, she knew.

"And now... I'm gonna have to kill this fucking clown!" He exclaimed, getting ready to swing the bat."Welcome to the losers club, asshole!" He shouted, smashing the bat atop the clown's head. Bill rolled to the ground as Pennywise came at Richie.

As Winston Churchill once said, perhaps this was the end of the beginning.

A/n, sorry all these chapters are so short. As im rewriting, the way this book was originally written makes it hard to have long chapters. This chapter is only like 640 (now it's 964), and I try to make my chapters at least 1000, but for this book, it's just not hitting :(
