Tigers Young
A smile of poisoned honey, an aim a good as they come
An eye as cruel as a hawk sets it sight
The sight of the tigers young
Movements sleek and long
Amber eyes wide and bright
A mother calls her cub, a desperate beautiful song
Thoughts of greed and wealth plague his mind
A deadly sin that will extinguish a souls light
His heart was anything but kind
An unsuspecting crouch, a gaze of innocent wonder
He’d only ever see the world in black and white
It was time to feel the lightning that follows the thunder
He pulled the trigger and the bullet of eternal sleep met true
Nature had lost this fight
This hunt of death was nothing new
In the bushes lay a cub yowling
The sight of a lost mother enough to scare even a creature of the night
He’d no longer see her silent prowling
For a mothers love was her strength and weakness
It was the hunter’s secret weapon he held tight
It was the cause for her to lay still and useless
A smile of poisoned honey, an aim a good as they come
An eye as cruel as a hawk sets it sight
The sight of the tigers young
It wouldn’t be the last time we hurt the tigers young.
