I can’t write a poem

Why? You ask

Well…

My desk is broken

There is a dog hiding behind the back of the class

I just found a movie token

And I think I swallowed some glass

I’ve lost my book

Someone’s kicking my chair

My neighbour’s giving me a strange look

I have a task set

My head is pounding with noise

And someone’s on the internet

Is ten excuses enough, or do you wish to torture me more?

I know your evil game

You just made me write a poem

But the next poem I write will be about you and your secrets

So if you dare, I will ask you a tortured question-
