Sal sat on the couch with Gizmo, flipping though the channels on TV. Today had been a really boring weekend, and there wasn't even anything good to watch. He decided to grab his walkie-talkie and see what Larry was up to.
"Hey dude. What're you doing?"
"Eh, not much. Just playing video games and eating junk food. Y'know, as usual," Larry laughed.
"Hah, I wish my day was that exciting. Mind if I come over?" Sal asked.
"Sure, sounds good," Larry replied. "I could use some company."
"Okay, I'll be over in a minute." The blue-haired boy smiled. He loved spending time with Larry. He was... cool. Yeah, cool. He hops up off the couch and pat Gizmo on the head. "See ya later, buddy," Sal said. The cat purred in response. He picked up his mask and buckled the straps securely before heading out.

Larry heard a knock on his bedroom door and looked up. It must be Sal. "Come in!" he replied. Sal walked in and saw Larry sitting on a patched up bean bag, playing some first-person shooter game. "Wanna join me?" he asked.
"Sure," Sal responded, taking a seat on the floor next to him. Larry changed the settings to the game and handed Sal a controller. "When did you even get this?" he asked, taking it from him.
"Oh, the TV is my mom's old one and I got the console off eBay. It works pretty good though," the taller boy responded, grabbing a handful of chips from the open bag in front of him. Sal watched him, wishing he had eaten something earlier. "Oh, do you want some?" Larry asked, snapping him out of thought.
"Oh uh, no thanks," he quickly replied. He would have to lift up his mask to eat, and that would just be uncomfortable for everyone. He didn't want Larry to have to see even just the bottom half of his hideous face...
"Okay, if you say so," he responded. They played the game together through an awkward silence for a few minutes, and after killing Sal for the fifth time Larry decided to break the silence.
"Are you okay?" Larry asked. "You've been kind of quiet."
"I'm fine. I'm just a little tired."
"Oh, I'm sorry. I guess you had trouble sleeping again?"
"Yeah..." Sally lied. Last night had actually been one of the few nights he was able to sleep. The cause of his fatigue was most likely due to him not having eaten in almost 24 hours.
"Wanna go raid the fridge?" Larry asked, practically reading Sal's thoughts. "My mom won't be home for a while, so we can steal her soda." he chuckled.
"Uh, well-" Sal was cut off by Larry grabbing his arm.
"C'mon," he said, pulling him up off the ground. Sally sighed and walked with him to the kitchen.
Larry opened up the fridge and looked through the assortment of drinks and snacks. Sal stood behind him anxiously. "Do you like Coke or this strawberry stuff?" Larry asked him.
"Um, strawberry I guess." Sal knew that Larry would have to see his face eventually, and maybe he was worried over nothing. But there was a chance of him being absolutely horrified by his appearance and not wanting to be friends with him anymore. He heard the pop of the can and looked up, trying not to show his nervousness.
"Here you go." Larry grinned, handing him a can. Sally took it from him and was very relieved to see that there was a purple curly staw sticking out the top. He quietly sighed.
