Chapter one

I, Megan Fletcher, have had my fair share of ups and downs, and I'm only at the young age of 18. One example of a down is that when I was 13 years old, my father died in a car crash.

It was just like any other day, he got up early in the morning, made breakfast for mum and I then drove me to school. What I wasn't expecting was to see another car smash into the side of his as he drove away from my school. He died on impact, and the sight was forever burnt into my mind. My mother was heartbroken, and it took a lot of support to bring her back to her feet.

I was also affected by the death of my father, of course I was. Just starting off in highschool, and with my best friend suddenly ignoring me, which I'll get to later, I had felt the most lonely I ever had in my life. That was when a new girl decided to befriend me, and has been my bestie ever since.

Hayley Jones is the daughter of the Mayor, her reputation is huge. But for some reason she chose to stick with little old me.

Hayley is beautiful, with long wavy blonde hair, and sparkling blue eyes, she's every guys dream. Her skin was tan, and she has the body of a model.

The way we met was pretty cliché; I spilt my lemonade all over her in the cafeteria one day. She hadn't even looked mad as she started giggling at my mortified expression I had apologised countless times, but all she did was smile and sit with me for the rest of lunch. I've been stuck with her ever since.

Now, back to my best friend who had deserted me.

Me and Josh had been friends since kindergarten, we grew up together because are parents our friends. After we entered the halls of the high school he suddenly become the new player, stealing half of the girls virginity. Me on the other hand, let's just say that I'm close to the only girl that has there virginity.
We have not even shared looks ever since we started high school 3 years ago.

I have only had one crush in my like and that was the one and only Asher Johnston. The news spread around the whole school. Anyway, let's just say that people don't really like me. For a reason I don't really know, I actually don't care at all, I have Hayley and that's all I need.

Hello people of Wattpad, I am new here and I really don't know how to write. I am sorry for the grammar mistakes and all that crap but I hope you can at least stick around for a few more chapters.
Apologies if the chapters are REALLY short I just don't enjoy writing for a long period of time, I mean I can, but I just run out of ideas.

I will appreciate all of your comments and I hope I can learn from them to improve my skills.

That's all for now, I need to get on with writing the second chapter^-^
