Roman and I were contemplating on if he should leave the WWE until he gets better. We finally decided that he should. Dwayne was watching the kids as Roman and I both went to Raw. It's been months since Roman found out he had cancer. When we got to Raw and our segment was on Roman and I both walked out to the ring and both took a deep breath the crowd chanted our couple nickname "Razzy." Roman grabbed my hand tightly, and started talking to the crowd.

"For months maybe even a full year. I've come out here and said a lot of things as Roman Reigns." He started.

I took a deep breath, closed my eyes and grabbed his hand tighter. I had no doubt that our kids were watching this.

"And I said that I'd be here every single week. I said I'd be a fighting champion, I said I was going to be consistent and I was going to be a work horse. But, that's all lies. It's a lie because the reality is my real name is Joe, and I've been living with Leukemia for 11 years." He continued.

I broke down in tears falling to the floor.

"And unfortunately it's back. And because the Leukemia is back I cannot fulfill my role, I can't be that fighting champion and I'm gonna have to relinquish the Universal Championship." He stopped.

He looked around the arena at the crowd. Then bent down to me, he put down the mic so the crowd wouldn't hear him talking to me.

"Do you wanna go backstage." He asked me.     

I shook my head no and took a deep breath. I pushed my hair back, wiped my tears, stood up and looked at all the shocked faces of the crowd.

"When I was 22 years old, I was diagnosed with this. And very quickly I was able to put it in remission. But that was the hardest time of my life. I didn't have a job, but the team that gave me a chance was the WWE. They put me in front of all of you, and to be honest y'all have made my dreams come true. And for that I have to say, thank you so much." He said.

The crowd started chanting "thank you Roman."

"Come on like this, life isn't fair. But I wanna make one thing clear. By no means is this a retirement speech, because I have faith. Because after I'm done whooping Leukemia's ass again, I'm coming back home. I'm coming back because I wanna show all of you, the whole world, I wanna show my family, my friends, my children and my wife." He said.

I smiled as he said the last two.

"That when life throws a curve ball at me.  I am the type of man that will stand in that batters' box, I will crowd the plate, I will choke up and I will swing for the fences every single time. Because I will beat this, and I will be back. So you will see me very, very soon. Thank you so much, god bless and I love you. Believe that." He finished.

After he finished his speech he kissed me as we walked out of the ring and backstage. I smiled as Dean and Seth came out hugging Roman and I. They did their signature fist bump then Roman and I walked backstage.
