She won't cry

I watched as the calendar flicked over to 18th of July. I stare at the date, consentrating on living. "I guess this is it" I say. "Don't say that Rika, that's what I'm here for. I will help you through this!" Says Hanyuu. I used to think changing fate was impossible, but I'm about to find out this very day. "She's alive... Takanos alive, isn't she?" I Whisper, my whole body shaking the room like a tremor. I expect an answer from Hanyuu but she doesn't answer. I realize living wont be easy, with Takano still alive and my curse. Satuko calls my name and I head over to her. She has a look on her face as if she's up to something. "I read your diary, so I set up traps everywhere around the house there's no way you'll be killed!" says Satuko. I remembered Satuko was a master at traps. I try to thank her but the rustling of foot steps outside interrupt me. I grap onto Satuko, "Quick, hide in here!" I shove her in a wardrobe and lock it from the outside. I creep down into the basement, still connected to Satuko by a walkie-talkie. "Satuko are you there?" I whisper into the walkie-talkie. "I can't believe it! They worked their way through my traps that's impossible!" she sobs. "Satuko, keep quiet! Do not make a single sound unless i say to, They're here for me not you so don't put your life at risk." I say. I can hear the creaking of the floor boards above. Is this the end?

Changing fate

The basement door slowly opens and portions of light lead me to a hiding spot. This could be the end of my life in this world and I would have to restart. I hear Mions voice from behind me. "quick come here! I'll lead you to the shrine there you will be safe the others are waiting!" she says "But what about-" she grabs me and takes me to the shrine. What about Satuko... Have they forgotten about her? Dragged behind her I speak up " What about Satuko!?" I scream. Mion stops running. "Satuko? Satuko is in there...SHIT!" Mion says annoyed. Mion shoves me in the shrines basement and runs after Satuko picking up a Gun on the way. I dont know where she gets her weapons but it just might save our lives. "Psst! Rika!" says a voice. I turn around. "Mion?" I ask. She giggles. "Shion!" she says. "You look exsactly like Mion..." I say. Shion wore her hair out with a bow at the back the same lime green as Mion. She wore a white turtleneck sleeveless top with a black skirt finishing at her knees. She knew what I was thinking. "we are twins!" she says giving me a smile. " Why don't you go to Hiniminzawa public?" I ask. "Our dad died from the curse last year, and I am having troubles with mum so she sent me to my grandmother." she says. I don't reply and start a awkward Scilence. All I can think about is Satuko, I hope she's alive! "come on well go deeper in the basement the rest are waiting." she grabs my hand tight and drags me down. I get dragged a lot since I'm the smallest. We reach a well and climb down slowly taking our time as each foot steps on the lower plank of the ladder. As I reach the bottom I notice that Shion has disappeared. I look around and hear the echoes of a whisper from the voice of Mion or Shion "The demon inside has awoken" these words were implanted in my mind and my chances of survival decreased. A demon? This must be all to do with Oyashiro's curse! "Ahahah, who's this? Right I know, Rika!" I turn around. Mion... A demon has taken over Mion! Mion threatens me with a knife, a sharp and big one. I stand still and stay cool. "What did you do with Satuko and Shion!?" I ask. She giggles. "Ahahah, Rika you worry to much! They are both fine... For now..." Mion says. Mion steps aside and uncovers a small cramped dome shaped prison, Shion trapped inside,crying,going mad, cramped in such a small space she can't move. Satuko on the other hand is tied to a wooden log and is struggling to breath. "what's up Rika, not going to save your friends are you?" she says. "Mion... Your my friend... And your the one who needs to be saved." I say looking at Mion straight in the eye. Mion pulls her hand loaded with a knife away from me and stares blankly. It looks as if the demons been killed by my words but I thought too soon. She gives an evil smile "Ahahah! Me!? Need saving!? Ahah I don't think so! But your a funny one aren't you... Furude Rika." she says pulling her knife out. "Any last wishes?" she says. "Yes... You can kill me... But please do not kill my friends!" I say calmly. "Ahahahah, I wasn't planning to, I thought that I just might put them through a little torcher, but now that you mention it!" she says laughing. "But it's your turn Rika..." Mion pushes me to the ground and crouches over me with no hesitation. "If your going to kill me, kill me slowly... When I die I want to remember how much of a horrible person you are!" I say. "I will be happy too..." she says grinning. She pulls back her knife and thrusts forwards. I close my eyes. But I feel no pain. I hear a thump on the ground. "huh?" I open my eyes and sit up. On the ground, Mion lays, an axe through her skull, an axe held by Rena. Rena gives me a smile drops her axe and hugs me. We both cry. One by one our tears fell on to eachothers shoulder. Our best friend, possessed by a demon... Is now dead. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" says Rena. "You did what's right Rena!" I say. "But I just murdered our best friend!" she says. Keichi comes up and pats her back. "Rena, there was no other way of getting rid of the demon, to kill a demon, u need to kill its body." he says. I watch as a tear falls down Keichi's face. I've never seen him cry before... We all stand up and free Shion and Satuko and rush the injured to the hospital. Me? I'm fine just a couple of scars but im alright. I head home with Satuko and it's very late, getting any sleep was hard after the tromourtising experience I had today. Before I head to my bed I Check the clock, 12:01 Pm. I smile, look to see if Hanyuu is behind me, which she is. "Rika, I'm very proud of you, we now have learnt that changing fate is not impossible, and can be done with help from your friends!" Hanyuu says. I suddenly think of Mion. I start to burst out in tears. "Would Mion be crying would she?!" I say. "She won't cry...her tears are sealed in a locket, but her heart is crying, trying to forget the past, and move on, she's proud of you Rika, and you should be proud too, to be able to flick that calendar over to the 19th of July!" Hanyuu says. I turn to Hanyuu, shes not that transparent imaginary looking girl anymore, she looks solid and completely visible. "Hanyuu?" I say. "You passed Rika, now I'm one of you."
