Goddess Athene Is My Mom !

hey guys.I'm a big fan of Greek history.So i just thought of putting my knowledge and interest together.This is the result.tada!!!

"Mom,dad I'm home" I said as soon as I opened the door.It was my seventeenth birthday.I knew a surprise was awaiting for me and I loved surprises.My friends had thrown a daytime surprised party at my bbf, Annie's backyard and I was just home after it.I dropped all my presents on the bed and ran downstairs.

"hey mom"I said as soon as I spotted her in the kitchen.

"how did the party go?" She asked sitting next to me on the couch.

"awesome" I smiled at her.

I heard the door clicked open and the most wonderful dad on the earth just came home.I ran to him and hugged him tightly. Well did I tell that I was a daddy's girl? :0 .He hugged me back and smiled.After few seconds I let him go and sat on the couch continued reading my book, 'Voyage of Argo' by Apollonius.I saw my mom and dad glancing at each other nervously.I kept on asking what was the surprise they're planning for me before I left to school.But they only said it's something I've never got and it'll completely change my life.First I thought they're going to give me a car.My car was old and hardly usable.Then I thought it's an apartment.But I immediately shook it off.My parents were overly overprotective.They never let me go out of their eye sight.That's one reason why I didn't have much friends.I only had one best friend, Annie and that's because she lived next door.

I went upstairs and quickly took a wash,put on my favourite denim shorts and a white baggy t-shirt,put my hair on a messy ponytail.Then I sat on my bed and switched on my ipad.Every term the students of Greek and Roman Civilization had to do a project relevant to the subject.I planned to do about Greek Mythologies.GRC was my favourite subject.It was interesting to listen to those stories and our school had the best GRC teacher ever,Mrs.Gordan.I loved her a lot and I was her favourite student. I added some information I found on mythologies to the project.When I was done it's almost the dinner time.I went downstairs excitedly waiting for my surprise.The smell of food made my mouth watered.My mom was always a great cook and I was always a great consumer.I was shocked when I saw the dining table.It was like a feast,chicken lasagna,chicken casserole,broccoli gratin,braised leeks and for dessert ,strawberry shortcake,muffin cakes ....etc.and I was sure there were more than for just three people.

"mom isn't this too much?" I asked .True that it's my birthday but still.

"No dear.It's not" said my mom ignoring my eyes.

"Is anyone coming tonight?" I asked nervously looking at my mom and dad.No one answered.

"Tatyana I have something important to tell you." said my mom looking at me with eyes full of love.Her voice was serious and that got my attention.

"what" I asked confused.

"Listen carefully and don't panic" warned my dad.I rolled my eyes and looked at mom.

"Your mother is Goddess Athene" She said calmly but I could see her hands shaking.

I closed my book 'Voyage of The Argonauts' by Appolonius and stared at her and burst out laughing.

"yeah mom I believe you."I said when I gained control."You have to do better than that." said I and grinned.

"Tatyana she is right.We've waited so long for this and now is the time to tell you." said my dad in a similar serious way.
