Chapter 2

* 3 MONTHS EARLIER *

Jessica's POV

" Jessie, honey! Get up!" My mom screams from the kitchen.

" I'm up!" I shout back.

I tuck in the corners of my bed, and get dressed.

Today were moving to California. My dad is there, and I haven't seen him in a long, long time because he had to move because of his work. My mom decides to go today.

They are not divorced or anything, it's just that my mom loves her job, and it pays really good, but my dad said he was transferd, so he had to.

Unless she's lying, which I doubt that.

When we get to the airport, or flight has just started so we had to hurry.

We practically ran to our flight.

Oh right, I have my brother, he's 12.

So it was me and my mom and brother.

" the airplane wasn't that bad." My mom says as we enter the California airport.

" Yeah, although Alex wouldn't stop shaking until we landed." Me and my mom laughed.

" Hey! It was scary! We could've got into a plane crash and gone missing!" He says.

My mom and I laugh. We sit at the chairs and wait for dad to come and pick us up.

" Jannnet!" Someone screams. Gosh, I haven't heard that voice in years I barely know who's it is.

But what I have came to , it's my dad. My mom ran into his arms like it was from a scene out of a movie.

" Alex!" Dad says. Alex gives him a 0 second hug.

" Jess!" My dad says.

I hug him passinotley, and then let go because seriously it's awkward.

" Let's go." my mom says.

We walk to the car, with our suitcases. We get in, and my dad drives away.

" You're going to love the house. It's perfect. It's really big for all of us. It has 10 rooms, a beautiful backyard, and 2 In ground pools, and one that's inside." My dad says and my heart leaps.

" Wow, dad" I say looking at the house as we pulled in.

" I've always wanted to live in a mansion." Alex says

" well it's happening, and don't forget school starts Tommorow, so be ready." Mom says

Ugh, I forgot about school.

It's as if, maybe I can be homeschooled.
