My eyes glanced over the people passing by, my cold feet inches away from the edge as thoughts surround my dazed mind. The cold air wiped my face with a harsh lash reminding me of my parts as the atmosphere darkened and my bodyweight became light. Just to think in a couple of seconds all my trouble would melt away without me and I would finally be free.

A small breeze drifted past me followed by a beautiful brown leaf. I stared at it just wishing I could be that light weighted. My hands are numb, and my eyes are floating in an ocean of memories that I long to forget.

I reminisce over my reflection, my parents, past relationships and the dreaded wounds that just wouldn't seem to fade.

I looked down below me at the rushing water. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath opening my arms and falling forward. The water pulled me under slamming my body against the rocks as water filled my lungs and soon everything went black, not sure if I died or alive.

My heart felt like it was being pulled from within me. My lungs were filling and air faulty. I felt as I was floating away as the thought seemed to fade before black washed over me slowly.

It felt like I have been out for eternity as I opened my eyes groaning from the sudden brightness and I knew I had failed again. The sound of the monitor beeped in my ear.

The monitor echoed my heartbeats telling me that I'm living. I was pulled from my thoughts, and my attention was drawn to my arm. I notice a needle injected in my elbow as blood painted the cloth red.

My first thoughts were to rip the material from my arm and walking out of the hospital and keep trying until I finally succeeded, but when I went to move, it felt like my body was on fire and I screamed from the pain. My loud outburst resonated through the halls causing footsteps to speed to my room.

Without hesitation, a nurse dressed in a white hospital grown ran to my bedside. She placed her hand on my shoulder trying to calm me down but made it a lot worse as I tried to pull away from her, but my body wasn't having it.

"Kellin, you need to calm down,"

"Don't tell me what to fucking do. Get your hands off of me," I screamed in protest trying to fight her off in my weak state.

As we fought against one another more nurse filled the room as they held me down. I screamed as one reached for my tube a needle in her other hands. The brown-haired woman injected a dose of morphine into my tube to calm me down while I kicked out.

The medicine soon overpowered my power as my vision blurred. The last thing I felt was one of the nurses pushing me down gently my hands falling either side of me as my eyes felt heavy. I wished I could stay asleep forever it was so peaceful with no care in the world no one around to try and save my bastard soul.

Honestly, I didn't know how long I was out for until I felt someone shake me awake. It was the same nurse from before.

"Sir, you have a visitor," She explained in a simple voice, and I glanced toward the doorway where she was pointing.

"Hello Kellin," The boy said, his voice laced with sympathy.

"W-who are you?" I asked weakly, and the boy walked in and took a seat next to me.

"I'm Vic," He started.

"I know what you're hiding,"

"It's no hiding if I failed five times," I said looking up at the ceiling.

"And even if I was why do you care?"

"I know it's hard to pretend that you're alright when deep down you're screaming to be heard," Vic extends his hand out causing me to look at him confused.

"Please take my hand if you trust me,"

"First off I don't even know you why would I trust you? And second, if I wanted to be heard where were you on my first attempt?"

"Please," He cried.

"Just trust me,"

I thought about it for a second and weakly reached for his hand. My hand laced with his as he placed his other hand on top of mine cupping mine in his.

"You know me, even if you don't remember,"

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"You'll find out soon enough. I promise,"

"Is there a way you can get me out of here?" I asked.

I realized we were still holding hands and I tried to jerk my hand away.

"I can see what I can do, but for now, you need to rest," Vic says as he lays my hand by my side before stroking my hair.

"Thank you," I whisper as he leaves.

I laid there wondering where I know him from why he looks and seem so familiar, but that's a question for another time. My eyes slid shut as I fall asleep dreaming about the mysteriously beautiful boy.
