Not cool with crowds

After natsu got into the cycle of grabbing my wrist and dragging me to a new group of people and then thgrowing up over the side of the ship two seconds later, I had met almost the whole guild. Well, those who were with us I mean. currently I was talking to a girl who introduced herself as Lucy. She was blabbing about the most random things. At first she was talking about herself and things that she called celestial spirits- which I still didn't completely understand and didn't ask about because I wasn't comfortable. After the lesson on her powers, the attention turned to me.

People were coming up to me and asking about my life on Tenrou and if I had seen what happened with Achnologia. I answered their questions as best I could, attempting to go into detail only to be interrupted with another question. After some time, almost everybody aboard the ship was crowded around me, listening to what I had to say. It was very quiet except for the sound of my voice, the occasional seagull and Natsu throwing up over the side of the boat.

After a long time of speaking and answering questions, the crowd thinned out until it was only a small group including Lucy, Natsu and a few others who's names I couldn't remember. Instead of asking me about my time on the island or my relationship with Mavis, they started asking about my magic.                                                                                                                                                                     "What kind of magic do you have to be able to tamper with our dreams?" "I heard someone say you were a dragon slayer? is that true?" "You must be strong? we should fight as soon as we get back too the guild!" -we all know who said that. Somehow, they had more to ask about then everybody on the boat combined. It was a smaller group now, so I felt much more comfortable with answering the questions. I spoke calmly and took my time to make sure my answers were as good and simple as possible. "Well, yeah. its true that i'm a dragon Slayer wizard but if i'm honest, I don't like to fight. I learned during my seven years on Tenrou that it is better to be peaceful than to attack."

I paused to recollect my thoughts. Mavis told me a lot of things but there was always one question that she avoided answering when I asked her.  thinking back she always got upset when I asked her about- "Y/N? are you alright? you started looking panicked and started sweating." I wiped my forehead and sure enough, there were sweat beads rolling down.

"yeah..yeah I'm fine. I just need some air." I pushed past a raven haired boy called gray and a scarlet haired girl named Erza. I rushed away from everyone, sure that I was getting weird looks. If i'm honest, I don't even know why I needed to leave. Everything seemed to be going fine. I was making my way to the bow of the boat where I thought nobody would be and I was right. I leant against the railing and took a few deep breaths.

I pinned my nervous breakdown on a delayed reaction from all the people around me. For seven whole years it was just Mavis and I. And now? she wasn't with me and I had just realised that I might never see her again. Tears welled in my eyes and threatened to fall. For just a moment, I regretted my choice to leave with Fairy Tail. And then my thoughts changed. Mavis wouldn't have wanted my to be here like this, crying over her. She would have wanted me to get along with everyone and make my mark in fairy tail.

I was lost in my own thoughts when someone sat down next to me. A young sweet voice asked- "Are you alright? I saw what happened and wanted to make sure that you were okay." At last, I looked up to find a young girl with long blue hair sitting next to me, smiling softly. I wiped my eyes and nodded. "i'm fine. I guess i'm just not used to having so many people around...." The  girl and I sat in silence for a while listening the scuffle of footsteps and flurries of voices.

"I heard what you did for us on the island. with the dreams. I want to thank you for that. for the guild, only a day has passed. but for you and everybody else, its been years. thank you for letting us all see the guild every night." I stared at her wide eyed as she talked. I had no idea what everybody had seen. My power let them decide what they wanted to dream.

"How do you remember-" I was interrupted by loud chorused cheers of joy. The girl grabbed my hand laughing and she dragged my to the commotion. On the horizon, a black dot was coming into view. I was heading into a brand new experience. The rest of Fairy Tail? they were going home.
