Chapter Two (April's POV).
As I reach the practically empty greenroom, I see Alli sitting on one side of a small beige couch with her eyes glued on the magazine sitting on her lap. "What?" I ask.
"Oh! Hey April." she says in response.
"What do you want?" I ask again.
"Nothing." she started. Seriously?
"I just wanted to tell you that you and Codes are sooooo cute!!" with that she smiles and makes her famous duck face.
"Seriously, Alli?" I raised one eyebrow and was holding back from yelling at her because she stole me away from Cody.
"sorry, April," she said, wincing back. "I just had to tell you..."
"ok," I say, trying to cool down. "Thanks. Now if you excuse me, I'm going to try to fund your brother again.
"Have fun!" she says as she sends me off.
"Thanks!" I say as I wave behind my back while I walk out of the room. Alli's such a sucker for romance, she's like my best friend.
I walk down the dark backstage hallway scanning left and right for Cody. Finially, I decide to give up and grab my phone from my back pocket. My text to Cody read, "Where are you?? Meet me center-stage??" I wonder up the stairs onto the empty concert stage. I walk to the front of the stage and stare out into the countless rows of abandoned red theater chairs.
"Ahh!!" I let out a High pitched squeal as a pair of hands squeeze my waist from behind. I quickly turn around to see Cody smiling at me.
"Hey you." I say as I'm pulled into another one of his magical hugs.
He's changed clothes now since we parted ways earlier. And to be honest, he smells a little nicer too.
"Hey you." he responds after finishing our hug. He joins me center stage with his arm around my waist, holding me close.
"What is it?" he asks, turning his head to face me.
"What is what?" I respond.
"You asked me to meet you here. Is everything ok? Everyone's starting to go home." he says.
"I'm fine," I start. "I just needed to see you before I left." I hung my head at the last statement.
"Why? Is everything ok?" he asks, pulling up my chin with his finger. "What's wrong angel?" he asks.
"Nothings wrong!" I protest. "I just wanted to say I love you. That's all." I smile wide. "I love you too," he says as he bends down to kiss me.
