In That Moment- Kinani FF

Will's mum knocks on his door, and sits on the edge of his bed. She puts the hot chocolate on the bedside table and places her hand on his head, and bends down to kiss it. Will rolls to face her and murmurs a faint "Thank you mummy" as she begins to leave the room.

"Wait a second" Will begins to sit and reach up.

"That's the most I've heard from you for five days! What's got you moving again?"

"I just want to talk i suppose. I've been thinking a lot lately."

Wills mum gently sits on the edge of his bed, and holds his outstretched hand.

"I have a friend who likes someone, in that way, but he doesn't know if that person feels the same way back-"

"Girl trouble is it?"

"Hold up a sec, let me finish. (He continues) - but by admitting that he liked that someone, he would be admitting something else, something pretty big."

Will's mum stares deeply into her sons dark brown eyes. A wide smile starts to spread across her face, and she cups Will's face in her hands.

"Well, tell your friend, whoever he is, that he has people who love him, and whatever he has to say won't change their opinion of him. It doesn't change mine."

With a final kiss on the forehead, she leaves the room and gently closes the door. Will listens to her footsteps as she goes downstairs, and begins to hum a tune he couldn't recognise.

Will unwraps himself from the folds of his duvet, and yawns as he slides into his chair, and turns the monitor back on, sipping the hot chocolate as it loads.
